I have never written a review for anything before but feel a sense of responsibility to share with other parents about the REACH program. During the 4 years we’ve lived in PA, we’ve struggled with the school system and with accessing appropriate mental health resources for our child. Even though the REACH group is an educational advocacy group, Dana was certainly very knowledgeable about both our educational and mental health resource needs, and recognized that both were related and relevant for setting our child up for success at school. Dana helped me get organized, and find appropriate care, resources, and support. She is genuine, kind, and honest, and has been a godsend in helping to represent me and my child during school administration engagements. Dana knows how to get the best out of your child’s IEP, and often comes across as the most knowledgeable person at the table. Dana’s firm, yet collaborative demeanor helped to set a positive tone with the IEP team, but also ensure we got everything we felt we needed to help my child be successful. When it became apparent that my child’s school placement was not the proper fit, we eventually toured and transitioned to another program. Dana was there from beginning to end. She always made herself available for the scheduled, impromptu, and emergency school meetings, she took the lead on endless phone calls and emails. She even joined me to tour the potential new schools. Dana was worth her weight in gold and my family has truly appreciated her support. So far, my child has adjusted and is doing well in the new program, and we are looking forward to a successful school year and future. Thank you, Dana!

Working with Dana Emery was a game changer for my family. As the parent of a child with chronic health issues, navigating the educational system became overwhelming and confusing. However, with Dana‘s guidance, I finally felt empowered to advocate for my child’s rights in school. She expertly explained my child’s 504 plan, breaking down the jargon and making it easy to understand. Her knowledge and experience in special education laws was invaluable, and gave us peace of mind knowing that our child was finally receiving the support they deserved. I would highly recommend Dana to any family seeking assistance in advocating for their child’s education. Dana, thank you for all that you have done for our family!

My 5-year-old son has ASD. Learning that services for him require a fight, good advocacy became crucial. Referred to The REACH Group by a friend, it was the best decision. Thanks to Dana’s support, my son now has a PCA for 5 days a week and nearly double the therapy hours. Big thank you to The REACH Group!

I truly can not express how much my family has been helped by Mrs. Meyer she was able to help me navigate the intimidating world of IEPs and let me know everything my son was entitled to vs what the school district had been providing. Being able to go into those meetings confidently was priceless. My son now is even able to advocate for himself and advise his teachers of his needs. I can not thank her enough.

I can not say enough kind words about Mrs Meyer. Anyone would be lucky to have her advocate for them. She has always been professional, an advocate, a friend and guardian angel for me and my son. She has gone above and beyond.

When the pandemic first hit and school closed I didn’t know what I was going to do. We didn’t have a car or computer. How was I supposed to have my son do remote school. Mrs Meyers advocated and spoke with other Vanguard team members and the West Chester School district to get my son a computer. Not only did she advocate, she dropped off the computer to us, because I didn’t have a car. She ensured we had everything we needed through the pandemic and beyond. She ensured my son had a good 16th birthday and Christmas. I will never forget all she did for us.

No one has ever done anything like that for us or fought harder to ensure my son’s special needs were being met. I can’t thank her enough.
