After the Stork
has been the premier postpartum agency of Philadelphia, the Main Line, New Jersey and Bucks County since 2006, providing day and overnight newborn care for a calm, restful transition to parenthood. Their doulas are trained by nationally recognized postpartum organizations like DONA, CAPPA and Birth Arts International, and postpartum care is their only focus — all their energy goes toward supporting your new family once your baby arrives, empowering you with evidence-based methods of caring for and comforting your newborn.
They offer support with breastfeeding, developing a flexible routine, and reading your baby’s cues, plus practical help tidying your home and organizing your nursery — most of all, they help you relax and enjoy your new arrival. Many clients request overnight support, and founder Georgette has completed intensive Gentle Sleep Coach training, guiding families through sleep troubleshooting at no additional charge, with the goal of a great night’s sleep for the whole family.

After the Stork is a wonderful resource for new and experienced parents after the birth of a baby. We did not use a doula service after our first child was born. I did so the second time around with some reservations. After the first night, I was completely at ease and so elated that we had chosen to use After the Stork. Especially since we had another child, getting much needed sleep was truly a gift. Moreover, Georgette and her entire staff are so knowledgeable and always available for questions and advice even though at first I did not think I would need it as much as I did!

Georgette and her girls are the BEST in the business. When we first met Georgette she told us she would have our son (second baby) sleeping through the night by 16 weeks. We were a little incredulous given that our first kid didn’t sleep thought the night until 13 months (did not use her services with first kid). And sure enough our son started sleeping through the night at 17 weeks. Her girls are super professional.
