Main Line Parent is published by a team of local women to connect families raising their kids around the Main Line and Philly’s Western Subsurbs with resources, events, and each other. It all started with our vibrant Main Line Parent Community Facebook Group dedicated to Building Community (join the conversation with our 30,000+ local members!) and our Email Newsletters, which deliver our curated roundup of things to do in Philly and around the Main Line (virtually and in person), as well as our latest news and updates from local businesses, each week!
The Main Line Parent team was proud to present a $1,000 donation to Smith Memorial Playhouse and Playground on behalf of our Members and Communities at our annual LOVE Awards Celebration. A treasured destination for over 100 years, Smith strives to be Philadelphia’s foremost resource for play by providing opportunities for unstructured creative play for children 10 and younger. The best advice I finally took this year (which helped me lose 25+ lbs) was to gradually adjust my daily and weekly habits to reach my goals. One of my healthy habits has been to make daily food & fitness journal entries in my Balance Bound Planner (created by a pair of Havertown Moms!), it has made a big difference to keep me accountable to myself and focused on progress over perfection!

I’ve found that the best way to stop a bad habit is to replace it with a good one. So now instead of unwinding at the end of the night by watching tv and eating snacks, I read part of a book and drink a cup of tea. It’s done wonders for my sleep!
