I’ve spent almost every summer at Eagles Mere since I was born. As a child, the endless amount of activities to participate in and friendships that grow from a very young age made each year more exciting than the next to return to the mountaintop surrounding our beautiful lake. Now, as a mother seeing my children enjoy the same experiences and participating in so many of the events and activities geared towards families and adults makes it equally special- somehow each summer is better than the last.

We recently stayed at the Eagles Mere Inn for a two-night getaway during the COVID pandemic. We were immediately put at ease by the cleanliness of the lobby and rooms and the strict adherence to protocols. Service was excellent and the second-floor room large, sunny and quiet. The included breakfasts were delicious as were the two dinners we enjoyed at AC’s Little Drinkery. We loved walking and hiking around Eagles Mere and nearby World’s End State Park and Loyalsock State Forest. Our residence at the Inn included access to the private Laurel Walk around Eagles Mere Lake, which was lovely.
