- Teacher Time To Go

“My husband and I recently helped a business colleague navigate middle school options for his daughter next year. We are delighted that this colleague’s daughter will be joining the Academy of Notre Dame community next year. Helping with this process and having multiple conversations about all-girls’ education reminded us of the incredible experience that our two daughters carry with them from their time at Notre Dame. Our daughters’ time at Notre Dame gave them all the opportunities we wanted for them while providing unparalleled support and encouragement for their confidence and growth. Most important to us, our daughters woke up happy, looking forward to getting to school every day. Now as young adults, we see the many gifts that they took from their years at Notre Dame — giving back to their communities, lifting up other people, dedication to their work, and resilience when not everything goes exactly as they wish. What really made a difference for them at Notre Dame was the top-tier Arts program. First, I do not know of other schools who have a dedicated building for the Arts as Notre Dame does. Whether students are drawn to the performing arts like our girls or the fine arts — students thrive in these areas at Notre Dame. A special shoutout to Mrs. Pam Devenney who has been at Notre Dame for 20 years and chairs the Arts department. Her vision and ideas continue to make the students shine as they pursue their passion for the Arts.”

“It took only a few weeks for AIM to make a profound difference in my son’s confidence and sense of belonging. For the first time, he found his ‘people,’ feels genuinely understood, and is truly thriving. Early in the school year, he said to me in amazement, ‘Mom, the teachers LOOK at me.’ That simple statement was heartbreaking, as it reflected how accustomed he had become to being dismissed or treated as a burden elsewhere. At AIM, that has completely changed. He continues to express his gratitude every day and is so happy there that he is eager to attend the summer program as well. This school delivers on its mission to provide every child with the education, attention, and respect they deserve. The faculty and staff recognize each student’s strengths while thoughtfully supporting them in navigating their differences. As a parent, the relief of knowing my son is in such a supportive and affirming environment brings me tears of joy. I am confident that other families will feel that same sense of gratitude and reassurance when they choose AIM.”

2026 LOVE AWARD WINNER:
Excellence in Early Childhood Education
Bala House Montessori School
Bala Cynwyd
“The education and community at Bala House Montessori are the best gifts we have given our children. Each of my three daughters attended Bala House from age three and my third daughter will be finishing her Kindergarten year next year. As a family who has been a part of the school for almost a decade, we’ve seen how intentional and thoughtful every aspect of the education is from the curriculum to the specials and monthly enrichment programs to the field trips and school community events. The beloved teachers and staff provide a welcoming and nurturing environment that fosters an unshakeable love of learning, cultivates little leaders of all kinds, and somehow makes it all magical through their eyes. Bala House has set them up for life in ways I didn’t understand were possible at such a young age until we were there. I will always be grateful for this time in their lives.”

2026 LOVE AWARD WINNER:
Excellence in Early Childhood Education
Berwyn Early Learning Academy
Berwyn
“I absolutely love being an infant teacher at BELA. It’s a place where you can feel the love and dedication in every classroom. I feel so supported and valued as a teacher, and that positive energy translates directly into the care we provide our little ones. We’re more than just a team. We’re a family working together to make sure every child feels safe and every parent feels confident. I’m truly grateful to work in a school that treats both its students and its staff with such genuine kindness and respect.”
– Tamar F.

2026 LOVE AWARD WINNER:
Excellence in Early Childhood Education
Bright Minds Preschool of the Main Line
Wayne
“Bright Minds has been the BEST experience for our 3 year old for preschool. She is excited to go to school, comes home happy and love her teachers. She was so unhappy at her previous day care and when we transitioned to Bright Minds we knew immediately that this was the right place for her. Everyone there is warm, caring and truly loves to be with children. They have a well stocked, clean facility that is constantly updated with new exhibits to keep the children engaged. We will be keeping our daughter here until kindergarten and will be enrolling our younger daughter next year.”
– Katie D.

“We love taking our girls (3 yo and 15 mo) to this school! The teachers are all so sweet, and my daughters look forward to going to school every day — my 3 yo doesn’t want to leave! The director of the school, is so wonderful — you can just tell she loves what she does. The associate director is also very helpful. The overall energy of this care is filled with love and thoughtful education for young children. They also keep you in the loop with what they’re learning everyday — their app helps with clear communication and the daily photos are so so sweet. I really trust this place will teach my children and help them grow their confidence and independence. The facility is new, super clean, and in a quiet area away from busy traffic streets. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!”

“Cupola Academy has been the single most impactful homeschool resource and community for our son, Lucas, and for our entire family. We had contemplated homeschooling for a long time, but when we first found Cupola, we kept asking ourselves, ‘There has to be a catch.’ What sets Cupola apart is not just the programming, but the extraordinary level of care, investment, and intentionality shown by its facilitators and directors (Julia & Mike) in every interaction. From day one, Cupola has been warm, welcoming, and deeply thoughtful. The facilitators truly know the young people not just their academic levels, but who they are as individuals. Every day of programming, every conversation, and every follow-up reflects an incredible amount of preparation and genuine care. Nothing feels transactional or ‘one size fits all.’ Instead, everything feels purposeful, responsive, and personal.”
– Becki S.

2026 LOVE AWARD WINNER:
Excellence in Early Childhood Education
Ducklings Early Learning Center
“I am honored to recommend Ducklings for the Love Awards because they truly became our village during one of the biggest transitions our family has faced. From day one, the teachers and administrators welcomed us with such warmth, care, and intention that we immediately felt supported. I wholeheartedly trust them with my children. The team is incredibly dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences, and my kids are learning and growing every day — academically, socially, and emotionally. They celebrate everything — big milestones, small victories, and everyday moments — making school fun, exciting, and full of joy. My children genuinely LOVE coming to school, which says everything. They feel safe, confident, and completely adored, and you can see it -on their faces at drop-off and pick-up. I’m so grateful for a place where my children are not only building skills but are deeply loved. Ducklings also consistently asks for parent feedback and creates opportunities for connection and community, which makes families feel included and valued. What started as a nerve-wracking change turned into one of the best decisions we’ve made. Ducklings isn’t just a school, it’s our second home.”

“Educational Edge came into our family’s life through an Instagram post shared by a friend, and reaching out to them turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve made for our child. She went from crying and believing she couldn’t write to earning an ‘A’ in her classes. The tutor Educational Edge matched us with is knowledgeable, kind, and wonderfully creative in the way she supports my child. My child’s face truly lights up when she walks through the door. It’s immediately clear that this company is the owner, Erica Ritterman’s, passion—not just a job. From the way she speaks with parents when you call, to how deeply she listens to what makes each child unique, to the thoughtful care she takes in selecting the right tutors, everything reflects her genuine commitment. I can’t say enough positive things about Educational Edge and the incredible people who work there.”
– Jill F.

“We love Fusion because they truly see our son. They took the time to understand who he is, how he learns, and what actually helps him succeed—then built his education around that. The teachers don’t just teach content; they connect with him on his level, earn his trust, and adapt in ways that make learning feel possible instead of overwhelming. For the first time, he feels understood, supported, and confident in the classroom. That kind of individualized care is rare, and it’s made all the difference for our family.”
– Amanda M.

“Our boys have always complained about public school, but when it started to impact their mental health, we switched them to Fusion Academy in Malvern. No other school we looked at has their unique set-up, personalization, and flexibility. We appreciated how friendly the staff and teachers are and how helpful everyone on campus is when we need more information. The one-to-one classroom option has really made learning fun and efficient. No more busy work and boring classes. My children are engaged and interested in what they are learning every day. Plus, every instructor writes a summary of their class time with each boy and we receive a summary email each evening. So we know not only what they are learning, but how they engaged with the material and what homework they are responsible for doing. And they shouldn’t call it homework because for each hour of class time, they have an hour of Homework Cafe where they can do their work with additional instructor support. The two Homework Cafe styles (one is quiet and the other is social) allow each child to be in the setting they work best. I can’t recommend Fusion enough to other parents. It has given my children more confidence and has improved their mental health immensely.”

2026 LOVE AWARD WINNER:
Excellence in Education
Holy Rosary Regional Catholic School
Plymouth Meeting
“Over the past decade, we have lived through a pandemic, suffered the loss of a parent/grandparent, welcomed a new baby, and navigated the transition from elementary school to middle school. Throughout all of that, Holy Rosary Regional Catholic School has been a constant. They equipped my oldest son with the education necessary to secure a scholarship to an excellent high school and, perhaps even more importantly, cultivated in him the courage and confidence to embark on that journey. They taught my children to not only be good thinkers, but good citizens. They offer an environment in which children are both challenged to learn and nurtured. Holy Rosary’s many traditions, like its craft fair, walk-a-thon, and field day have become some of my children’s favorite grade school memories. Within months, we both ended a chapter at Holy Rosary and began a new one. In June, my oldest son graduated from Holy Rosary. In September, my youngest started Kindergarten. We consider ourselves lucky that we get to begin our journey at Holy Rosary again. The Holy Rosary faculty is outstanding, the building is warm and inviting, and the education is unparalleled. I cannot imagine an organization more deserving of this award.”

2026 LOVE AWARD WINNER:
Excellence in Early Childhood Education
Let Them Play Learning Center
Bryn Mawr
“Let Them Play Daycare exemplifies high-quality early childhood care and development. Miss Iesha goes beyond teaching children the academic foundations they need to succeed. She also focuses on helping them learn how to act in the world, how to treat others with kindness and respect, and how to develop the social and emotional skills they need. I love that my children attend LTP and feel so confident in the care they receive there.”
– Michael V.

“Lolo Leo has been such a gift to our family. The staff is incredibly nurturing and truly cares about the kids. I send all three of my children here for school and camp, and they’ve thrived thanks to the thoughtful activities that support sensory play, art, and fine motor skills. I love the Spanish/English bilingual approach, and they even helped support us through potty training! The staff pays a great deal of attention to safety and has their entire staff trained in CPR, First aid, etc. I also have found that the space is very clean and is regularly disinfected. If anything does arise, they have done an excellent job in communicating any concerns with illnesses that are making their way around the school. The team has made my life as a parent so much easier and we’re so grateful for them. Thank you Ms. Paty and team!!”

2026 LOVE AWARD WINNER:
Excellence in Early Childhood Education
Magic Memories Collegeville
Collegeville
“Magic Memories Collegeville truly lives out their values of family, safety, growth, integrity and encouragement. The PTA is a great way for parents to have a voice and to make their child’s early learning experience the best that it can be. Neydary, the owner and president, invests in her team and provides funding for staff to enroll in a CDA program as early as two weeks into employment. She values education and her team so deeply that she is willing to empower her team and often promotes from within. Magic Memories Collegeville operates with integrity and shares transparent communication with families. Neydary took the time to find an ideal candidate to direct Magic Memories Collegeville so that the role was filled by a director with over 24 years in the field of early childhood education. She leads the company with integrity and intention and values community partnerships with local businesses such as the Collegeville Bakery, Daily Bread Community Food Program, and local law enforcement and firefighters. She goes out of her way to ensure that students, parents and staff feel like Magic Memories feels like their second home.”

“We feel so fortunate to have found Main Line Classical Academy. We looked extensively at schools across the area because our two elementary-aged children have very different learning styles and levels of advancement. We wanted a school that would both challenge them and truly understand them as individuals. MLCA has been exactly that—and more. The teachers here are extraordinary. They genuinely care about the children, know them well, and bring out the best in each one. The small class sizes mean our kids are never lost in the crowd, and the difference this makes—academically and emotionally—is obvious every day. The academics are exceptional and truly engaging for bright, curious learners. The school uses Beast Academy for math, French begins in kindergarten, and students immerse themselves in ancient and art history from the early grades. Beginning in fourth grade, students also learn Latin, which beautifully supports their vocabulary and understanding of language. Geography and programming are part of the curriculum as well, helping children see the world broadly and think logically. One of our favorite aspects is the emphasis on the arts. Piano and violin are part of the school program, and in art class, the children are not just doing crafts—they are actually learning drawing techniques and how to observe carefully and create thoughtfully. We also deeply appreciate the school culture. There are no phones at school, and the parent community is strongly committed to delaying smartphones and social media. This allows our children to truly be children: focused on friendships, imagination, outdoor play, and learning without constant digital distractions. MLCA proves that rigor and joy can coexist.”

2026 LOVE AWARD WINNER:
Excellence in Early Childhood Education
Montessori Children’s House of Valley Forge
Wayne
“Montessori Children’s House of Valley Forge is a truly phenomenal school, set on the beautiful grounds of Valley Forge Park. Both of my sons have absolutely loved their time here and genuinely look forward to attending each day. The teachers are incredibly experienced, thoughtful, and deeply nurturing, creating an environment where each child is supported and encouraged to grow at their own pace. The sense of care, community, and respect for each child’s development is evident in everything they do. I would highly recommend this school to any family looking for an exceptional Montessori experience.”
– Krysta H.

“My family has been working with Melissa from My Advocacy for over a year, and she has made a profound difference in our son’s life. Thanks to her expertise and unwavering support, he now thrives in an inclusive, safe school environment that truly meets his needs. Melissa guided us through the complicated and intimidating world of special education, helping us access essential therapies we likely wouldn’t have secured without her. Her advocacy, compassion, and deep knowledge have empowered us every step of the way. Our son has made tremendous progress—and we’re confident he’ll continue to grow with her continued guidance. We are incredibly grateful and highly recommend My Advocacy.”
– Migdalia V.

2026 LOVE AWARD WINNER:
Excellence in Early Childhood Education
Penn Wynne Presbyterian School
Wynnewood
“I love this place! We had a great first experience when our son (who had been diagnosed with autism) started. His teacher was on the ball (knew his IEP backwards and forwards) and helped us advocate for getting him services through the County. They did everything they could to accommodate his needs. My daughter now attends here as well. While my son has now moved on to elementary school, they still ask about him and are excited to see him when he’s there to drop off or pick up his sister. My daughter loves it here as well. The community of teachers and parents is amazing and I wish we could take this community with us as our children grow. I have no qualms about entrusting them with the care and education of our children, the teachers and staff actually care. I will be sad when we have to move on!”
– Kincso B.

“Phebe Anna Thorne is a true play-based preschool on the Main Line, a hidden gem nestled into the Bryn Mawr College and Haverford College campuses. I was thrilled to find them when searching for schools for my toddler, and my spouse and I were both happy to find a program similar to ones we each experienced as preschoolers ourselves. As a small school, they truly mean it when they say every teacher not only knows you and your child, they also know their siblings,. We knew Phebe Anna Thorne was special when our oldest started, as they walked in and never looked back. After a subpar experience at another school in a previous year, it was great to feel like a valued member of the school community and feel confident in the staff I was leaving my child with. I didn’t realize just HOW special Phebe Anna Thorne was until needing to use another nursery school as we impatiently waited for our second to be old enough to attend Thorne for preschool. The level of detail the staff at Phebe Anna Thorne give to everything involving the children in their care is simply remarkable, and truly makes me feel like no other school will compare. I didn’t realize just how much they communicate with families until working with another school to see it, and I’m grateful each day we get the chance to send our children to this school to learn, play, grow, and get ready for the next steps in primary school.”

“Primrose School of Devon has become a community staple in a short amount of time. From the infant and toddler programs that are much-needed in the Main Line community to the philanthropic opportunities the children are presented with because of Primrose to wonderful job opportunities for the community. The staff, the administration, and everyone in between are such a joy and should be honored for the hard work in the little amount of time they have been open.”

“One of the moments that really showed me what makes St. Aloysius Academy special happened during my son’s basketball season. There was a teammate who wasn’t the most skilled player, and throughout the season he hadn’t been able to score. Without anyone telling them to—they weren’t coached or prompted—the boys decided they were going to help him get his moment. They kept passing him the ball, setting him up, encouraging him, and making sure he had every chance to take a good shot. When he finally scored, the entire team celebrated like they’d just won a championship. It wasn’t about the scoreboard; it was about lifting up a teammate and making sure he felt included and proud. To me, that’s what St. Aloysius is all about. The boys don’t just learn to compete—they learn to support one another, to notice who needs a boost, and to put someone else’s happiness before their own. It’s small moments like this that show the character, kindness, and community the school builds every day.”
– Susan P.

“If I were recommending SunGate to a friend, I would tell them how much I love the program! From the homemade organic lunch every day to learning life skills (like cooking and gardening, to name a few), to hiking and exploring in nature every day, to the warm, home-like structure, it is unlike any program out there! While it is a ‘drop-off’ program, the parents are all very much involved as a community!”

“Baldwin is a longstanding leader in girls education which gives the girls a link to a line of women who have their back. Most excitingly, it’s in a moment of refresh – new head of school, new strategic plan and reimagined family programming that makes it a home for the whole family to be a part of our daughters’ childhood. We feel so lucky to have the #1 private school in PA within reach of our home & we’ve loved it dearly since our girls’ first days of kindergarten, now in middle school! They are equal parts tweens, silly and sassy and serious, and Baldwin is loving them through it all. ❤️”

2026 LOVE AWARD WINNER:
Excellence in Early Childhood Education
The Goddard School of Chester Springs
Chester Springs
“The Goddard School of Chester Springs is the best around! Everyone is welcoming and they truly foster a community feel. The building is clean and safe with recent upgrades to classroom furniture, tech, and play spaces. My son loves school and is learning in fun, engaging ways. Bonus, I get to see photos throughout the day. He will be well-prepared for kindergarten next year. I highly recommend Goddard of CS!”
– Jaclyn V.

“Our family feels so lucky to be part of such a special and supportive school community. Each of our children have such unique personalities and needs, and the Goddard team meets them where they are, providing an inclusive and safe environment for academic and social growth. We love our school.”

“The School in Rose Valley (SRV) has been a truly exceptional place for our three children. When we enrolled our now high schooler in SRV’s preschool, I knew little about progressive education. But it didn’t take long to see the comprehensive benefits of SRV’s approach. This school nurtures the mind, body, heart, and soul, providing a well-rounded foundation for every child. I’m incredibly grateful that we discovered SRV when we moved here from the city!”
– Main Line Community Member

“Trinity is such a unique, one of a kind preschool. When we were first looking into preschools, we toured many schools and did parent toddler at a few of them. However, upon touring Trinity, I knew we had found something truly special. The teachers were so kind, the parents were welcoming and the whole community embraced not only the child but the whole family. Trinity focuses on teaching each child individually with a focus on play and it has been incredible to watch our oldest daughter progress year after year. I’m shocked by the educational as well as emotional lessons that are being taught that we see shine through in how she acts at home. She has grown so much in her almost four years there. She is now in preK and we will be so sad to see her leave the school that helped raise her. Fortunately, we have two other kids that are starting at Trinity and we are so fortunate to be a part of a lifelong community.”
– Kelsey C.

“Principal Sister Patricia knows each girl by name and builds meaningful relationships with students and their families, ensuring every child feels seen, valued, and part of the community. This intentional leadership creates a school environment where connection and care are evident every day. As a parent, I have been deeply impressed by how many teachers know my daughter by name and genuinely invest in her growth. She began kindergarten very shy, yet in just her first 100 days she has blossomed into her confident, bubbly self. She has formed friendships across grade levels and built relationships with teachers who consistently look out for one another and for every student. The pairing of younger and older grades fosters mentorship, strengthens leadership skills, and reinforces the school’s family atmosphere. Villa Maria’s charisma is alive and well, supported by an engaged parent community whose involvement further enriches the school experience. Through meaningful community service initiatives, students learn the importance of giving back and serving others. For its commitment to academic excellence, innovative STEM education, intentional leadership, and a culture of authentic community, Villa Maria Academy Lower School is a truly deserving to be nominated.”
– Mike D.

“Waldron Mercy Academy has been such a blessing for our family. As parents of a 5th grader and a preschooler, we’ve experienced first-hand the school’s commitment to academic excellence, faith, and community. Our 5th grader is challenged in all the right ways, with teachers who know how to stretch him while offering support when needed. Our preschooler has fallen in love with learning — she walks in smiling every morning! The sense of community among families is incredible. Parents are truly connected — from volunteer events to casual hangouts and even a Dads’ Club that my husband launched, that brings everyone together. Waldron is a place where children feel safe, loved, and encouraged to grow into kind, confident leaders. The school blends strong academics with faith, service, and kindness — and truly feels like an extension of our family. We’re so thankful to call Waldron home.”

“My son is enrolled at Westtown and what a wonderful place! My kiddo went from being super quiet and not ‘known’ at his preschool to thriving at this school. It seems like every adult in the building knows him, not just his teacher. The community is really something special. Every day he is energized to come to school, and even disappointed on snow days to not come! Not only does he love his classmates, we have come to make really amazing friends as parents. And of course the academic program is also fantastic. In younger grades, kids go outside 3 times a week for science and explore all over the campus. They have a lake, woods, farms, a greenhouse—it’s amazing for him to have access to all of these spaces! My son is absorbing so much about nature, animals, and eating fruits and veggies. He’s also really engaged with the art program. He talks about famous artists that I haven’t even heard of! I am counting the days until my toddler is ready for PreK here!”

Best College Admissions Counseling
YourCollegeApps.com
Haverford
“Last summer, my daughter Claire really had no idea as to where she wanted to apply for college. She had certain set requirements in her mind-some of which as a parent I thought were not important when picking a college. That said, I knew we needed some help and guidance. We have fabulous college counselors at our high school, but they had not been able to read my inscrutable daughter and her personality. Enter Brooke-who we hired to help Claire put together a comprehensive list of schools for her to consider. Claire filled out a questionnaire and also spoke with Brooke to explain what she was looking for. A week later Brooke produced a fantastic and very comprehensive list of schools all over the country and in Ireland with notes about how likely it would be for Claire to get in, and she also provided information regarding merit. That list became our map for moving forward and made our college search so much easier. And much, if not all, of what Brooke suggested was Claire’s reality when admission decisions came in. My daughter can be spicy, and Brooke guided her like the pro she is-Claire really enjoyed her experience with Brooke and I very much value the guidance and advice she gave us. I would retain Brooke again in a heartbeat.. Brooke made a very stressful search for the right match for my daughter a lot less stressful, and we are so grateful.”
– J.M. D.

“Our child was admitted to his dream school, and looking back on the journey, we truly want more families to know about the incredible support we received. As a first-generation family, life is incredibly busy, and the college application process—filled with so many factors and perspectives—can feel overwhelming. Reaching out to Abigail Hillman and Associates turned out to be exactly the right decision. We cannot say enough about how exceptional Sadie is. She has a remarkable ability to quickly understand each student’s unique strengths and help them authentically present themselves. Abigail’s final review set the perfect tone, and Jakie’s thoughtful guidance in identifying the right teacher and communicating so effectively was truly invaluable.

“My son is in 5th grade and is good at math but still struggling. He was literally looking at problems and saying I have no idea what to do with this. What was so nice about Brandywine is that they listened to what he needed and the owner, Gina, matched him with a tutor that suited those needs. It takes a little time, but it was so worth it. His tutor, Ms. Kim is amazing! He’s doing better in school and on the way home yesterday, he actually asked to call his Noni & Nono (grandparents) to tell them all about how he beat Ms. Kim in a math contest and ‘earned’ candy. I just let him talk it all out and smiled the whole drive home. He is genuinely excited about the lessons and proud of himself.”

2026 FAMILY FAVORITE HONOREE:
Excellence in Early Childhood Education
Mi Casita Preschool – Ardmore
Ardmore
“Our family started at Mi Casita Bebe in Ardmore, and we have since ‘graduated’ to the big kid school (Mi Casita Ardmore). I can’t say enough about the care and community we have found with Mi Casita – the admin, teachers, and everyone we’ve interacted with have been so wonderful . Our daughter loves going to school every day, and she speaks nearly as much Spanish as she does English – at this point, we’re learning from her! The teachers are so caring and loving and dedicated to her growth and development – she does all kinds of things throughout the day (arts, yoga, soccer, music, etc.). The staff greets us with a warm and friendly smile each day, and we’ve made friends with fellow parents (something we’re extra grateful for since we don’t have any family in the area). It is a wonderful community to be a part of, and we’re so grateful! Cannot recommend enough!”
– Ashley B.

“A key target outcome of collaborating with this company was to minimize the stress associated with college admissions. By leveraging one of their comprehensive packages, my family had a trusted resource to help navigate the complex, ever-changing admissions gauntlet. We were very pleased with the outcomes that they had for our first teen and so became a repeat client for our second teenager. Both were able to not only secure multiple acceptances from several quality schools but also now attend universities which were stretch targets given the brutal global competition.”
