Phebe Anna Thorne's Programs
Thorne offers traditional programs for toddlers, preschool and Kindergarten as well as specialized programs for children with speech language needs.
The Kindergarten at Haverford College offers a full-day developmentally appropriate, child-centered program in a small and nurturing setting. This program provides a traditional kindergarten curriculum with many opportunities for active play and social interaction. There are limited spots available in their Kindergarten class for the 2024-25 school year. Contact Amanda Ulrich for enrollment information at 610-526-7913.

The Thorne School is so much more than a pre-school-kindergarten program. To be sure it is an incredible learning environment with dedicated teachers and staff (including Bryn Mawr and Haverford College student teachers). Students learn through play and not only expand their intellectual curiosity but also develop important social and emotional skills. Our children have formed lasting friendships from the Thorne School that will withstand the test of time.
What makes the Thorne School truly special is that it is a community that nurtures parents/guardians as well as children. The lessons we as parents have learned from the Thorne school teachers and staff have been invaluable even as our children aged out of the Thorne School.
