Description

Young Rembrandts: Nurturing Creativity and Artistic Growth
Young Rembrandts believes that everyone can, and should, learn how to draw. Their mission is to give every child the opportunity to discover their inner artist and develop a lifelong love for the visual arts. They offer a dynamic series of classes designed to teach fundamental drawing and coloring techniques while encouraging creativity and artistic expression.
Weekly Classes with Fresh, Engaging Content
Each week, Young Rembrandts presents brand-new lessons, ensuring that every class is fresh, exciting, and educational. Their innovative, step-by-step curriculum introduces children to essential drawing techniques and skills in a fun and engaging way. Your child will experience hands-on learning that keeps them actively engaged and motivated.
Young Rembrandts emphasizes the importance of drawing as the foundation of all visual arts. Throughout the program, children will learn core skills that will not only enhance their artistic abilities but also build their confidence and foster a sense of accomplishment. The classes are structured to allow students to grow and improve, while creating lasting memories through their artwork.
An Inclusive and Supportive Environment
The programs are designed to accommodate children at various skill levels, recognizing that artistic development is an individual journey. Whether a child is just beginning to explore art or already has some experience, Young Rembrandts provides a supportive environment where they can thrive. They believe that artistic abilities are shaped by personal progress, not age, and their goal is to inspire each child to reach their full potential.
Skills Development and Art Appreciation
Through structured lessons, your child will learn about design, composition, and illustration. The Young Rembrandts step-by-step drawing method builds their technical skills while fostering creativity. In addition to developing drawing and coloring techniques, students will explore art history and learn about master artists. This holistic approach helps children gain a deeper appreciation for art and its rich history.
A Sense of Pride in Their Work
The artwork your child brings home is 100% their own creation—from the initial pencil sketch to the final touches of coloring. Each lesson is designed to be age-appropriate and tailored to the child's artistic development, ensuring steady progress throughout the session. The goal is to see consistent improvement in your child's skills while helping them build self-confidence in their abilities as young artists.
Seasonal Classes to Boost Artistic Growth
Every season, Young Rembrandts offers new classes that focus on refining drawing techniques, enhancing color theory, and boosting self-confidence. Their approach fosters both skill development and a positive mindset, empowering children to feel proud of their artistic journey and accomplishments. They offer weekly preschool and elementary classes, special workshops on days schools are closed or special occasions like Mother's Day, spring break and summer break camps, as well as Art Comes To School or Camp programs.
Join Young Rembrandts today and watch your child unlock their creative potential while learning the essential skills of drawing, coloring, and more!

My son attended a YR camp and loved it. He was so proud of his artwork and it helped him feel confident in his art skills from an early age. Highly recommend!

Art is something that everyone should have. It brings kids joy. Cristina and her team are providing something that more and more school districts are cutting. The arts are important.

As a teacher at Young Rembrandts Chester County, I’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible impact of our program on children. Cristina Hartley, the owner, has created a truly nurturing and inspiring environment where creativity flourishes.
The curriculum is engaging and thoughtfully designed: It’s not just about drawing lines; it’s about developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and fine motor skills.
The emphasis on process over product is invaluable: Children learn to embrace experimentation and celebrate their unique artistic journeys.
Cristina’s dedication to providing a positive and supportive learning experience is evident in every class.
I highly recommend Young Rembrandts Chester County to any parent seeking a high-quality and enriching art education for their child.”

My daughter (~age 10) did a summer camp and loved the experience. All the kids worked on the same project; an instructor led the class and helped each kid progress along as art was created. If you child only loves one type of drawing or medium, this class might not be for you. But if you have a child who is willing to try different things and follow along, they will likely have a great time. My kid was always happy to get out of the car and go to camp, and when I picked her up, she was sad to leave. There is a a structure to the class- it’s not a free-for-all art time– so for example, one week my daughter painted an abstract piece, and another week she did a drawing of an animal- the same projects that other kids were doing but all their finished work looked a little different. I loved the class for her because it was a huge break from being on an ipad, and it gave her the confidence that she could draw and “do” art. Now when she’s bored, she knows she can entertain herself!

We are so grateful to Cristina for the Young Rembrandts program. Our son was struggling in art class in school and it was negatively affecting his self-esteem. After a few months of doing the Young Rembrandt program, he has progressed so very much. His creativity has blossomed, his fine motor skills are greatly improved, and he proudly shows off his artwork to anyone who comes to our house! Thank you, thank you, Cristina for providing such a top-notch art program for our community!!
