“Hiking Hounds’ Little Tykes Go On Hikes series is the best! They put so much effort into creating really engaging hikes that capture kids’ attention the whole way through. My daughter has anxiety and generally doesn’t enjoy new activities, but she felt comfortable right from the start and the owners’ daughter Adelaide has really taken her under her wing and built her confidence. Instead of clinging to me when we go on the hikes my daughter now hikes with Adelaide and I just follow along at the back of the pack which is fantastic. Each hike has a different theme and set of stops, and each child in the hike gets a turn leading and discovering the next clue or treasure we’re looking for. And there are importsnt hiking best practices and tips built in so you learn a lot! Such a steal for the price! We go to as many as we can.”

“My daughter loves the musical theater camps and K-2 theater classes. She usually avoids reading but when she gets a new script she eagerly pours through it. Of all the activities that my daughter does, this is the only one that she always wants to do no matter her mood. I’ve been blown away by every production. They do an amazing job with the kids, the choreography, the music, and the lights. Putting a microphone on every child means each one can be heard. I love that they stress every part is equally important.”

“Emily is patient, kind and fun to work with! It’s not easy to do ISR with a baby and she made it fun and personal. My baby wasn’t responding well to the time of day we had her lessons (lots of crying, etc.) and she was willing to be flexible and try different times to see what worked best. “Our daughter has had the most joyful experience at Meridee Winters. Every week she is excited to see her teacher, and works hard throughout the week to impress her. It is a huge relief to see my child have such a positive role model in her life, and we have MW to thank for that. The shows are certainly a step beyond, and our whole family gathers to celebrate her accomplishments, usually in the form of Taylor Swift. It’s really cool as a dad to see my kiddo finding “her thing”, learning her favorite hits and writing her own songs, which I never had in my own childhood music lessons. “What a special place. This school is like a family. The class size is small and everyone knows you. The director of the school, Marcella, called my house when she learned my son had a medical emergency. And we celebrated when he was back to good health. I feel like they love my kids like their own and that’s just the extra “stuff”. My two boys attend pre school here and speak Spanish to each other at home. The education is thorough and interactive. They love going to school and have made great friends here. I highly recommend. Spanish Workshop is amazing!”

“Upper Merion Performing Arts (UMPA) is a new performing arts school in King of Prussia dedicated to providing equitable, affordable, and exceptional theater education for students under 18 in the Upper Merion area. UMPA offers a variety of programs, including musical theater summer camps, private voice and acting lessons, improv classes, musical theater productions, acting intensives and more. […] Through high-quality training and a welcoming, inclusive environment, Daniel and his team are creating opportunities for young performers to develop their skills, express themselves, and share their love of theater. On a personal note, in addition to training with Daniel as part of the middle school plays, my twin girls, Maci and Mia, have had the opportunity to take classes with UMPA. Vocal lessons with Miss Sarah have been wonderful—she has helped the girls with song choice, preparing for several auditions, and refining their vocal techniques. Their favorite class has been Improv with Mr. Nir Kitaro. Nir created an environment where the kids were free to be themselves, making learning fun and engaging. This class goes beyond theater—it teaches life skills, confidence, and how to communicate with anyone, at any time, in any situation. The girls also took private acting classes with Nir where he helped them prepare for live auditions as well as created video audition tapes. For its dedication to making performing arts education accessible, its role in fostering creativity and confidence in young performers, and the tireless efforts of Daniel and his team, Upper Merion Performing Arts deserves to be recognized with a Love Award.”
