2023 Best Doula
Lacey and the KOPD team were life savers for my husband and me when we welcomed our second child. Having two kinds under two was daunting, but having the KOPD team as our nighttime doula for several weeks was integral to our survival. Us being well rested knowing our baby daughter was in great hands during the night meant we got to have more energy to care for her and our older son during the day. Our situation was very unique - our children are adopted and our daughter arrived very unexpectedly so we were not at all ready - emotionally or physically for a second child at that instance. When we found out our daughter was born and placed with us, I on a whim called KOPD, Lacey answered, and she was amazing to work with. Not only was she communicative, responsive, and organized, but she set us up with the perfect doulas to fit our unique circumstance. - Ross R.

Lacey and KOP doulas were recommended to me by my OB, and I am very grateful that I was connected with them. I had good feelings from the moment I spoke with Lacey and Jackie. Our first meeting was very educational and helped me navigate what interventions might be offered/suggested, how they could affect labor, and whether or not I would want to avoid or consider them.
I went into labor 2.5 weeks early when my husband was out of town. This is where Lacey and Jackie really came through. They were in touch with me even in the early hours of the morning and offered support until I was ready for in person support. Without going into too much detail, I had a VERY fast labor and I have told many people that I don’t think I would have mentally or emotionally gotten through it without Lacey. I tell anyone who will listen to me that they should hire KOP Doulas because they offer support that your OB, Nurse or significant other are unable to offer.
