A Main Line Institution Gets a New Look: La Maison Health & Fitness
Club La Maison in Wayne refreshes their brand, accelerates facility and programming improvements.
Club La Maison, one of the Main Line area’s first neighborhood family health clubs, has rebranded itself as La Maison Health & Fitness. More than just a name change, the rebranding is the first step in a plan to refresh the club with facility-wide upgrades and enhancements to provide its members with the best possible fitness experience.
“We decided to work on the future of our business,” says General Manager, Paul Meshyock. “We’ve been part of this community for 35+ years and we’re here to stay. However, we’re making changes because fitness continues to evolve and we want to appeal to the health and fitness needs of our members.”
The Sposato family opened Club La Maison in 1983. More than 35 years later, the club is still family-owned and continues to thrive as an independent, local health and fitness club. That longevity is rare in an industry that is dominated by corporate gym and fitness franchises.
“It’s amazing that our club is still serving the community,” says Meshyock. “We have well over 200 members that are original, founding members. We continue to meet the needs of those original members, but we also strive to meet the needs of new members.”
As La Maison Health & Fitness launches its new brand, the club will now offer a greater range of classes and services to appeal to the various fitness goals of its members. This includes personal or group training, cardio, weight, and functional training, high intensity interval training (HIIT), yoga, barre, swimming, group fitness, and more.
Improvements to the 38,000 square foot facility include 100+ new, state-of-the-art weight and cardio machines by Matrix(™), dedicated yoga and barre studios, and aesthetic upgrades to its workout and locker room spaces. Other enhancements to the member experience that are in the works include a sports medicine program with an onsite physician who will guide you through your health and wellness journey, and individualized nutrition services.

Says Marketing Director Lisa Alberta, “We are, and always will be, the club that knows your name and makes our members feel like family, but we are raising the bar on their experience at the club. We are honored to give them the fitness experience they deserve.”

“Our staff is so important to us,” says Paul. “We have retained many core employees over the years, so our business is unique in how members interact with staff. I often overhear our staff having conversations with members about their kids, or their families, or asking about their trip to Aspen.”
