Twirl was established in 2016 when owner Sam Sinns left his job as a dancer at Walt Disney World to move his family to the Philadelphia suburbs to open his dream dance studio. With a 20-year professional dance career under his belt, Sam brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his rapidly growing business.
Twirl reflects the principles that he learned while working as a dancer for The Walt Disney Company. The formula is pretty simple- commit to excellence in all things, teach solid dance technique, lead with creativity, engage in the community, and most of all, provide a happy place where everyone feels welcomed and valued.
Twirl for All Kinds of Kids
Along with classes in dance and acrobatics, Twirl also has a popular Down syndrome dance program and summer camps that sell out within hours. And with a dance environment that’s welcoming to boys, Twirl boasts a significant number of male dance students.
Summer Camps at Twirl
Get ready for the best days of your child's summer! Twirl summer camps offer immersive experiences that transport kids to magical worlds inspired by popular themes. Summer 2024 at Twirl has awesome half-day camps based on Barbie, Bluey, Star Wars, and MORE!
World of Barbie (ages 4-11) Welcome to Barbieland where every day is a party! Barbies and Kens will dance and play the day away with awesome music, trivia game shows, and crafts in our very own Barbie pink wonderland.
Bluey’s Preschool Camp (ages 3.5-5) Join Bluey on adventures of dance and imaginative play in a three-day camp that’s sure to captivate and enthrall your preschooler. There couldn’t be a more perfect way for your youngster to spend half a day!
Video Game Acro Action Camp (ages 4-11) From old-school Pac-Man to today’s hottest games, acrobats and gamers alike will live their best lives learning acro skills and running, jumping, and playing through live-action video game experiences! No screens or controllers in this action-packed five-day camp spectacular.
Wish Art & Dance Camp in partnership with AR Workshop Malvern (ages 5-11) If your child dreams of painting, performing, and living inside a magical animated feature, their wish is granted in this three-day art and dance camp. Along with camp adventures based on Asha and her friend Star, Wish campers will spend three days painting their own 12” X 16” plank sign under the direction of art experts from AR Workshop Malvern. It’s dancing! it’s painting! It’s a world of enchantment at Twirl’s Wish Art & Dance Camp.
Awaken the Force: Galactic Rebel Training Camp (ages 4-11)- Get ready for three days of epic saber battles, force pushes, and training to be the ultimate defenders of the galaxy. Kids will have a blast navigating obstacle courses, learning stage combat, and playing trivia games based on their favorite space movies. May the FUN be with you!
Mickey’s Classic Bake Shop in partnership with Hippie Chic Cakes (ages 4-11) Back by popular demand is a camp partnership with Hippie Chic Cakes as Mickey and his friends transport kids to a wonderful land of dance and sweets. We’re going old school with one-of-a-kind camp experiences based on Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, and all the early classics of our favorite animation studio! Each day kids will come home with a baked good that they decorated on their own. It’s a daily dose of Disney, dance, and delicious desserts!
Once Upon a Time Cirque Acro Camp (ages 6+) Twirl Cirque campers will spend five incredible days drilling down on acrobatic skills while rehearsing an end-of-the-week production exploring the strange and mysterious world of Grimms’ fairy tales. It’s a fun time on the mats paired with our biggest and most elaborate camp performances of the season!
Twirl Summer Dance Intensive (ages 10+) It’s time to drill down on dance technique with Twirl’s summer dance intensive! Designed for the student who wants to up their dance game, this five-day dance utopia will include classes in ballet, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary. We have a rock star roster of guest teaching artists to teach, inspire, and impart dance wisdom to our intensive dancers.

My family’s experience with Twirl started with their Summer Camps about 4 years ago. After my son attended a few camps that summer, he was hooked. We signed him up to attend year round and he couldn’t be happier. This year, both of my sons are taking classes and are having a blast. Twirl feels like a wonderful family and we are so glad to be a part of it. Mr. Sam and all of his staff are so welcoming and supportive of all their dancers and families.

We love dancing at Twirl. My son looks forward to dance class each week and has become a much better listener too. We dance every day at home and we love how twirl fosters that love in all. Twirl is a phenomenal dance studio that caters to boys & girls of all dance levels/experience! Offering several different styles of dance for all ages, the emphasis is on performing, not competing, with a focus on serving the community. Performances are top-notch “Disney” inspired, and the summer camps are stellar for both dancers and non-dancers! Each year there are new summer camp themes that reflect current kid-favorite themes with art projects, costumes and mini-performances… they sell out very quickly which is evidence in itself! Twirl knows how to keep kids smiling, even during the tough stages of the pandemic… the happiness at Twirl is truly contagious!
