Ashli and Sarah were our incredible doula team. We felt incredibly supported every step of the way – prenatal, labor, and postpartum. My husband and I were so impressed with our doulas’ delicate balance of compassion, education, and commitment to our birth plan. They both provided support over the phone when we were (mostly me, the birthing mom) struggling with pregnancy and in the throes of labor. Sarah’s calm and direct communication over the phone while I was in the middle of excruciating contractions helped us reach one of our birth plan goals – to labor at home as long as possible before heading to the hospital to get an epidural. We are so thankful for the hands-on care that Ashli provided us during labor at the hospital! She advocated for us, helped me move into productive positions post-epidural, and calmed me and my husband’s nerves. My husband loved her instruction and being able to participate in the labor process! We cannot recommend the team enough, and are so happy that we decided to use KOP Doulas! Thanks to them, our baby arrived as swiftly and safely as possible.

Lacey and KOP Doulas are heaven sent! Even though my pregnancy itself was relatively easy, I ended up going to 42 weeks and had a much more difficult labor than expected, with a few complications along the way. Through all of it, Lacey was an absolute rock.
She stayed with us in the hospital for over 24 hours, offering steady reassurance, emotional grounding, and physical comfort when I needed it the most. Her presence made a HUGE difference. She helped me stay centered, advocated for my wishes, and supported both me and my partner with incredible patience and compassion. She even let my partner get some well needed sleep while I was in the early stages of labor.
Throughout my pregnancy, Lacey checked in often, shared helpful resources, and always made me feel heard and supported. Never once did I feel pressured to make any specific choice about my birthing preferences. Her strength, knowledge, and dedication truly shined during my labor. Even in moments when things felt absolutely overwhelming, she helped create a sense of calm and safety that I will always be grateful for.
Lacey & Alex also did three in-home visits: two during my third trimester and one postpartum. The prenatal visits helped me feel prepared and confident, and the postpartum visit was truly invaluable. She guided us through baby-feeding challenges, helped ease my feelings of postpartum anxiety, and made sure we felt supported and equipped during such a vulnerable time. On top of that, KOP Doulas included classes that were surprisingly insightful. I took the Comfort Measures class and the Protecting Your Pelvic Floor class, both of which added so much knowledge and confidence going into labor.
I cannot recommend Lacey, Alex, & the KOP Doulas team enough. Everyone I have met through KOP Doulas has been knowledgeable, deeply caring, and genuinely committed to her clients’ well-being. If you’re looking for a doula who will stand by you through every high and low (even a long, challenging birth) Lacey is simply exceptional!

KOPD were the perfect phone call right when I needed them. I wasn’t getting the support I needed from my OB-GYN, and having someone I could call with all my questions was everything. They always made space for me, answered every concern, and got back to me so quickly.
The prep, the ongoing support, and the guidance throughout pregnancy made the entire experience so much better, and having them by my side during labor meant the world.
I highly recommend Lacey and Alex. They are truly fabulous and support your needs based on how you envision your birth, which was incredibly important to me. I’ll absolutely be booking with them again for my next baby, hopefully soon!

10/10 Experience! Starting from the beginning, Amanda the office manager was so friendly, upbeat and knowledgeable that I immediately felt comfortable and excited for my experience with KOPD.
With this being my first baby, I was nervous of the unknown. Specifically, medical intervention that I may not fully understand or have my faculties to make the decision that I truly want for myself and baby. Additionally, I want to have more than one child so having a positive first experience was very important to me. I wanted to feel mentally prepared and emotionally supported so that I could give my best. I was paired with Lacy and Alex and they were the perfect fit for us. My goal was to be at home as long as possible with the least amount of medical monitoring until “go-time.” With their advice and coaching that’s exactly how my birth experience went.
I appreciated the dynamic duo of Lacy + Alex. Both ladies bring experience and advice in their own forms. Alex coached me through my first stages of labor at home and that was key to success. Without her, I don’t think I would have been able to stay at home as long as I did. Alex was in the delivery room with us and I loved having her as a part of the team!
I’m 5 months postpartum and looking back, the financial investment is so worth it. I can proudly celebrate my birth experience and I am so grateful to KOPD for that.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Lacey. This was my first homebirth and first time using a doula and she was the calming presence I desperately needed throughout my long labor. From the moment she arrived, she brought a sense of peace and reassurance into the room. Extremely grateful for the amazing and incredible doulas at KOPD. We were lucky enough to be paired with Olivia and Shannon and we are forever thankful for each of them! As first time expectant parents we were both nervous and excited for our birth. My husband was initially skeptical of having someone else in the room with us during the birth but he is so grateful we did. Olivia and Shannon offered incredible support in our prenatal appointments and were both easy to quickly build rapport and trust with. They answered all of our questions, helped us better understand options during labor, and gave us incredible emotional support leading up to our delivery. Once in labor, they both guided us through early labor and then Olivia met us at the hospital. She. Was. Incredible. She was a beacon of love, light and support during my labor (I was in labor for 27 hours total!). She was a calming presence to both myself and my husband as we navigated an unmedicated birth. She helped with positions, getting supplies from the nurses, and even advocated for us to not get a challenging nurse again once shift change happened. She didn’t make it a big deal at all, she just went to the desk and calmly asked for a new nurse after a bad experience we had with her. We were so grateful for her every step of the way, she truly helped our experience and each of us so much. We will always be forever grateful for Olivia being in the delivery room with us and helping us bring our baby girl into the world. Both Shannon and Olivia are amazing women who we now view as family. We are so grateful to KOPD for bringing them into our lives!

Lacey and Alex were wonderful. This was our second time working with Lacey, as she had helped with labor and birthing with our first son. The first time was a doozy and I would have been scarred had she not been there. The second time was much more relaxed and her presence was still wonderful. But one thing I appreciate so much is the photos she was able to get. Without her there I would not have had any immediate post birth photos, and for my second she was able to get photos during delivery. I will forever cherish these. I still go back and look at them at least once a month.

My experience with KOPD has been nothing short of amazing! My husband and I welcomed our twins this past month, and our doula, Shannon, was the greatest gift we could’ve received during this postpartum period. She has been the greatest blessing for us- helping us get the extra rest we need as toddler and newborn parents! Shannon has not only taken excellent, loving care of our babies overnight for us, but takes the time to support us as parents and address our needs as well. The care and support she provides for our family is amazing. I couldn’t recommend KOPD enough!!

My husband & I are first time parents and were very nervous about postpartum care. Lacey paired us with Ashley and made the whole process super easy. We delivered 2weeks early but they were incredibly flexible. Ashley integrated right into our household and helped create a calm environment for welcoming our baby home from day one. She was so gentle and caring and in the most non-judgmental way, especially those first few days when we’re all in our most vulnerable state. She helped us during nights, which allowed me to get as much rest as possible to heal. It was also so comforting to know that my baby was safe and cared for while I rest. My recovery would not have been as smooth and easy without Ashley’s support. We are forever grateful and highly recommend Ashley and KOP doulas!

As a first time mom-to-be, I didn’t know what to expect during labor. And as supportive as my husband is, he was going to need help too. We are both so glad we chose the KOP Doulas! Both Olivia and Shannon eased our fears, never rushed us even when I had a million questions and provided us both with the support and resources we needed to have our baby boy! Olivia never wavered and was by our side during my long labor all the while providing much needed comfort and guidance. She kept me motivated and calm which was crucial! Olivia also helped us with our cord blood kit when we were all completely wiped out. And Shannon took care of my cats at home, brought in my mail and even washed a few dishes I had in the sink while we were in the hospital -all without us even asking! A very pleasant surprise to be sure! I can only hope to have them help us when and if we have our second! They even check in after birth to see how we are doing and I honestly feel like we made 2 great friends! I would not change a thing with my experience and recommend them without reservation!
