Silkie’s Farm has been passionate about raising alpacas since opening in 2011 with just three alpacas and a llama. As quality breeders, they offer numerous opportunities to visit the farm and connect with the herd through fiber art classes, alpaca yoga, agritours, open barn days, and shopping at the farm store. Visitors are welcome during open hours to take fluffy selfies and learn more about these wonderful animals. Check their events page for the latest schedule of activities and special farm experiences.

The most enduring discovery for me is the excellence of alpaca wool socks! A mundane discovery you say? You might share my delight if you spent days working outside during the winter. The heavy weight socks deliver cushioning, moisture wicking and insulation. (some how they do not smell!). They are all I wear outside now.
