“I highly recommend Nika at A Whisk Worth Tasting! Not only are her cakes delicious and absolutely gorgeous, but her customer service is outstanding. I have used Nika for the last 3 years for various celebrations in my personal life. I also run the private event space at From the Boot Lafayette Hill, and this is how I first met Nika. I found her on Instagram to see if she would host a cupcake workshop for our guests as a fun night out. This turned into 1 cupcake workshop a month for the last 3 years because of how much joy she brings to the customers that attend. She is such a loyal person to each and every one of her customers and celebrates each celebration with you like she is your biggest fan. There is no one more deserving than Nika to be nominated!”

“They really care about all the students there, from the ‘Ninja Sharks’ (the youngest) to the oldest (senior citizens). The owner, Mr. Freed, makes a point of incorporating exercises and drills that help people attain their individual goals when necessary, and is eager to see children’s IEPs if they have them, so the team will be able to work in the best way possible with all children in the classes. Two of my grandchildren are taking karate there, and Mr. Freed has been very happy to hear about their respective needs so he and his staff can best work with the children. My daughter and son-in-law (the parents) are also training, as am I. We all love the way the lessons make a workout fun while definitely making us work hard, learn a lot, and give us a sense of community..”

2026 LOVE AWARD WINNER:
Best Swim Classes
Big Blue Swim School Paoli
Paoli
“As an owner of Big Blue Swim School, I see the impact of our work every day through the children and families we serve. What makes Big Blue special is our people and the care they bring to each swimmer. One moment that stands out was watching an instructor patiently work with a nervous child who was afraid to enter the water. Instead of pushing forward, the lesson was slowed down, trust was built, and by the end of the session that child was smiling and proud — a small win with a big impact. Leaders like Erica Kowal and our dedicated team consistently go above and beyond for families, adapting lessons, supporting children with special needs, and taking the extra time to ensure every swimmer feels safe and confident. We don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach, and that makes a real difference. Beyond individual families, Big Blue Swim School is deeply committed to water safety and community impact. Through inclusive programs and local partnerships, we work to expand access to life-saving swim instruction and make our community safer. That mission-driven focus is why Big Blue is deserving of recognition.”
– Keith K.

“Our family has been with Sarah since my son was 7 years old (he is now 14) and it has been an incredible experience from the very beginning. Sarah and her team have the ability to truly understand each child and know exactly which approach will help them succeed. They are exceptional teachers, responsive, and flexible, always adapting to each student’s needs as they grow. What stands out most is how much they go above and beyond for families—whether adjusting lesson styles, schedules, instruments—always with care and thoughtfulness. Crescendo has had a lasting impact on our family and our community by fostering confidence, creativity, and a genuine love of music. We are so grateful to Sarah Austen and the Crescendo team and wholeheartedly believe they are deserving of this recognition.”
– Ana H-C.

“They have been a huge part of my kids’ lives the past year. Providing them with a fun activity and learning experience that is positive and supportive. Kids love the program and they just launched and are expanding reach. They need support from the community to get their wonderful company out there. The kids in our area love them.”
– Melissa F.

“We love Ms. Morgan and Mr. Paul! My daughter took the First Notes class years ago, she’s now almost 4 and still likes to join when she can. My son is 17 months and started classes when he was 12 months, he LOVES the songs and ribbon freeze dance, and eats up lots of attention from the teachers. He is so interested in the guitars, drums, and different instruments. We also listen to the SoundCloud playlist every day in the car. My daughter said ‘these music teachers make the best music!’ And it’s true 🙂 we all like to sing and dance and listen to it together.”
– Juliana

“My daughter absolutely loves it here. She asks every day—even on off days—if she’s going to KidsPark. She asks for her teacher all the time and has grown very attached. This has been such a relief after leaving a daycare she never wanted to go to and closed all the time, making it extremely inconvenient and stressful to find alternative care. She was having so many problems there; it was draining and becoming a nightmare. I decided to try a few days at KidsPark, and it was all my daughter talked about. It’s been an emotional and mental reset for her. The environment here is so positive and full of good energy, and she feels it the moment she walks in. My daughter is now enrolled full-time in the Busy Bees program, and I can honestly say that by the end of the day her cup is full. She falls asleep in the car every day after I pick her up, and we’ve noticed a positive difference in her overall behavior at home as well. I love the staff—they are always friendly and professional. I truly appreciate how they’ve helped my daughter adjust, emotionally supported her, and guided her with regulation and redirection. The owners are very involved and incredibly kind. Communication between myself, the owners, and the staff is excellent, and the building is always clean. It’s such a positive environment with good energy.”
– Jeanette

“If I could leave more stars I would. We have traveled down a lot of different venues for tennis, and I could not be more thankful for where we have landed. Fazal is an unbelievable coach, he takes tennis to another level, so incredibly professional and for all the right reasons. Thank you to Fazal.”

“My 2 daughters have been taking lessons with Meridee for years, and I can’t recommend them enough! They both started piano when they were in elementary school, and when they later wanted to change to other instruments, the school was supportive in finding new teachers for them. Now, my 13-year-old is playing guitar and my 15-year-old is taking voice lessons with the same incredible teacher! They both LOVE their lessons with Miss Kaitlin, and they’ve improved so much! Their in-home lessons have been a perfect fit for our busy schedules. The ‘backstage’ office team has also been super friendly and helpful over the years, and they have always quickly answered my (sometimes silly) questions. On top of all of this, they have some fantastic shows throughout the year! We always look forward to their Year End Show, and recently, my girls have been recording music videos for their original songs. This is no ordinary music school!! We are thrilled with the lessons provided by Meridee Winters.”
– Lauren E.

“Philadelphia Studio Ballet has supported my daughter in her development as a dancer since age 4; she’s now 17! Suzanne Slenn, owner, has managed to create a studio that emphasizes technical excellence and creativity while also building community. The dancers feel like they’re part of a family. My daughter has forged relationships with girls of all ages and schools— and those friendships last as each grade graduates. The impact on her life and mental health is just amazing. It’s her favorite place to be, and that’s wonderful to see as the mom of a teen.”
– Kristine C.

2026 LOVE AWARD WINNER:
Best Yoga for Kids
Radiant Heart Yoga
Broomall
“My daughters have gained so much through the kids’ yoga classes! It’s really cool to see how they have started to recognize their feelings and emotions. The community that has been created through Radiant Heart has organically grown and is made of people who are authentic, genuine, caring and generous. Beyond those qualities, these are business owners, teachers, stay at home moms, scientists, financing professionals, health professionals- a wide range of strong women who inspire each other! Before and after a class you can see people talking about work, sharing wellness tips, venting about kids, school, work or sports, or just decompressing and taking time to relax and enjoy each other’s company or sit quietly – there is no pressure to make small talk, just come as you are and relax with a cup of tea and leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Kids get to experience this community of women who empower each other and they’re learning how to have a voice, take care of themselves physically and mentally, and embracing asking questions about anything and everything.”
– Main Line Community Parent

“My kids love it here. They have gone to break and summer camps. They can’t get enough and the staff is amazing!”
– Jeff R.

“Science Explorers has been an incredible partner in providing hands-on STEM enrichment for students. Their programs go beyond traditional classroom learning by bringing science to life through interactive experiments, engaging activities, and real-world connections. What truly sets them apart is their ability to spark curiosity and excitement. The instructors create an energetic, supportive environment where students feel encouraged to explore, ask questions, and think critically. Instead of simply learning about scientific concepts, children actively experience them with hands-on projects, which makes the learning both memorable and meaningful. My kids come home talking about what they discovered, proudly explaining experiments, and sharing new vocabulary they’ve learned. It’s clear that the hands-on approach not only strengthens their understanding of science but also builds confidence and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. Science Explorers has made science something they look forward to, and that excitement is priceless.”
– Main Line Community Parent

“We love Soccer Stars because it has been so much more than just a sports class for our family. From the very first session, we saw how thoughtfully the program is designed to meet kids where they are, making soccer fun and welcoming for every child. When one particular child was feeling shy, Coach Callum took extra time to encourage him, celebrate small wins, and make him feel seen. That personal attention makes a huge difference. By the end of the season, that same child was running onto the field with confidence and excitement. Soccer Stars coaches genuinely care about each child’s growth and go above and beyond for their students. You can tell this is more than just a job for them. Soccer Stars has had a positive impact on our community by creating an inclusive environment where kids build friendships and a love for being active. It’s so much more than soccer. Families look forward to these classes, and it’s easy to see how Soccer Stars brings people together.”
– Copley R.

“My daughter is bilingual because of Spanish Workshop for Children. As a feisty, independent second child, Quinn tried to escape preschool every single day — until she met Sra. Neu. Not only did Quinn stop trying to escape, she learned an entirely new language in the process! Neither my husband nor I speak Spanish, so we weren’t able to support language learning and development at home. Sra. Neu made Spanish come alive for Quinn completely within the school environment, through patience, warmth, and genuine connection. Watching Quinn grow confident, engaged, and proud of herself has been incredible. Spanish Workshop for Children didn’t just teach my child a second language — it gave her a teacher who truly saw her and helped her thrive. Last year, Quinn was enrolled to start full-time pre-K. However, I was hesitant to remove her from Spanish Workshop, fearing she would lose the language she had worked so hard to build. Marcela, owner and program director, expanded the preschool to an optional full-day program, allowing Quinn to stay for an extra year. That flexibility and commitment meant everything to our family. Although Quinn is now in full-time kindergarten, she continues to see Sra. Neu every Saturday to maintain her language skills. I highly recommend Spanish Workshop for Children to any family looking for a program that truly supports and nurtures children.”
– Lisa B.

“We could not be happier that a Little Gym opened in Ardmore. We’ve been members for a few months now – my daughter is in the Beasts class and absolutely loves it. It’s been great for growing her confidence and interacting with other littles her age. She gets so excited to go every week. The gym is brightly decorated, clean, and loads of fun! “
– J.D.

“Our daughter Lexi (now 9) first attended Wolf PAC summer camp last year when she was 8½. She is a quiet but social child who loves performing arts, yet she had always been somewhat timid on stage—particularly outside of ballet, where dancers don’t speak or sing. From the moment she participated in Wolf PAC’s summer programming, we noticed a spark: she felt safe, encouraged, and genuinely excited to try something new. After camp, Lexi watched Annie (movie) and became eager to audition for Wolf PAC’s Annie KIDS production. She was thrilled to be cast as Grace Farrell, a role she truly wanted. To support her, we enrolled her in private voice lessons for the first time ever. Over the course of the next three months, we watched a remarkable transformation unfold. By opening night, Lexi stood on stage with confidence and ease. She delivered her lines with clear projection, sang confidently and on pitch, and looked comfortable and joyful as a theater performer—something we had never seen before. This growth did not happen by accident. We credit the exceptional coaching, care, and thoughtful direction of Wolf PAC’s teaching artists, particularly Isabelle Zeledon (Lexi’s voice teacher), and Meredith Leon and Lydia Hassell, the musical directors for the Annie KIDS Ruby cast. “
– Ina L.

“The Young Rembrandts program has been a wonderful fit for our daughter. She has been attending their after-school classes for over two years now, including summer camps, and has had a consistently great experience in both settings. Through the program, she has not only developed strong artistic skills, but also gained confidence, patience, and creative problem-solving abilities—skills that are so important for a child’s overall development. We’ve been amazed to see her growth. She often receives compliments on her artwork at birthday parties, and on several occasions even older children have asked her for advice and support with painting. Seeing how proud she is of her work and how eager she is to share her creativity with others has been incredibly rewarding as a parent. I would highly recommend the Young Rembrandts program to any family looking to nurture their child’s creativity in a supportive and encouraging environment.”
– Oksana I.

“Ballet 180 meets every dancer with compassion and respect. Our daughter has thrived at this studio for almost 8 years, athletically, artistically, and emotionally.”

2026 FAMILY FAVORITE HONOREE:
Music School
Breaking the Barrier School of Music
Aston
“Breaking the Barrier has been incredibly supportive and patient with my nonverbal child. The instructors take the time to understand her unique needs and learning style, and they never rush the process. Each lesson is thoughtfully geared toward how she learns best, using clear cues, repetition, and encouragement to help her feel comfortable and confident. Their patience, consistency, and genuine care have made a meaningful difference in her progress and overall experience.”
– Courtney P.

“Jacque has created a truly magical place for children and adults at the Children’s Poetry Theater. I’ve been lucky enough to assist Jacque with some of the classes she offers and see first-hand how the productions come together. But even more than teaching poems through play and creating beautiful hand-made costumes, Jacque is also gifted with the ability to really see each child who comes to the theater and make a special place where kids feel known and loved. My own kids have also participated in poetry classes with Jacque. My son brings the love of words and play from the poetry theater into our own home. After learning about local flora and fauna through Jacque’s poems, he shouted poems about forsythia, roses, and hellebore when he saw these plants on our walks through the neighborhood. He engaged our family in games around the dinner table that entailed mash-ups of I Spy and poetry recitations. Jacque has made poetry a fun, engaging, and empowering way to love the world. The poetry theater is a beautiful space, and it wouldn’t be the place it is without Jacque. She has created a gem in Narberth.”
– Shannon L.

2026 FAMILY FAVORITE HONOREE:
Dance Studio
ContempraDance School
Wayne
“We have been a part of Contempra for almost 10 years. My daughter calls the studio her ‘second home’ and says it is a place she ‘always feels special.’ She gets a great dance education and has older students and teachers to look up to who encourage her and value her talent and hard work.”
– Margot O.

“My children have attended a variety of classes at Golden Key – math, robotics, and chess. All of them have been taught in a way that challenges my kids while still being fun and highly engaging. My kids love it! I particularly value the way they teach the kids to think strategically. Golden Key is an amazing place, and I wish it were a full-on school. I highly recommend it!”
– Cindy

“Our experience with Goldfish Swim School Oaks has been outstanding. From the start, the team created a welcoming, supportive environment where kids feel safe, encouraged, and excited to learn. The instructors are patient and positive, helping children build both swimming skills and confidence at their own pace. Courtney, the manager, has been especially helpful. She is always taking the time to answer questions, explain the program, and make sure families feel comfortable and supported. Her responsiveness and willingness to help truly set the tone for the entire school. Plus, she goes out of her way to say hi to my kids by name each time we see her. Goldfish Swim School Oaks goes above and beyond by creating a fun, safe space where kids learn essential life skills while families feel part of a community. Their impact goes beyond swim lessons, helping raise confident, safer swimmers throughout the area, and they absolutely deserve to be recognized.”
– Main Line Community Parent

“My son Nianchu (now six years old) has been studying piano with Hadi for almost a year, and we have been very happy with the experience. Hadi is a patient and encouraging teacher, and I’ve seen clear improvements in my son’s playing over time. What I especially appreciate is that Hadi doesn’t just focus on technical skills—he also guides his students to truly listen to and practice the tones and express the feelings behind the music. This approach has helped Nianchu develop not only his ability to play the notes but also his musicality and emotional connection to the pieces. I highly recommend Hadi to any parent looking for a piano teacher who nurtures both skill and a genuine love for music.”
– Tao

2026 FAMILY FAVORITE HONOREE:
Toddler Playgroup
Little Dragons Playgroup at Holy Child Academy
Drexel Hill
“My grandchildren look forward to the craft and story time. The teacher is warm, kind and creative.”
– Connie P.

2026 FAMILY FAVORITE HONOREE:
Dance Studio
Main Line Dance Company
Wayne
“Main Line Dance Company is my daughter’s home away from home. Meghann Weaver, the studio owner and director, has created a culture of kindness and support. In a field that often tears children down, she has made it her mission to lift them up while still helping them become the best dancer they can be. All of the dancers are encouraged to help and encourage each other. They recognize strengths and give effective, constructive criticism. In addition to Meghann, the Ballet teacher Emily Gach has had a huge impact on my daughter. She is teaching her not only to dance but to have confidence in herself and to take appropriate risks. I am thrilled with our choice to begin and continue my daughter’s dance education at Main Line Dance Company.”
– Anne R.

2026 FAMILY FAVORITE HONOREE:
Performing Arts Programs
Plymouth Performing Arts Center
Plymouth Meeting
“We LOVE PPAC!! Our daughter has found a home here and we all couldn’t be happier. She takes singing lessons here and has done two summer theater camps and a fall theater program. She is all signed up for the winter Willy Wonka! It has a very family feel. When my daughter walks in, every worker knows her name, from the person at the front desk, to the tech person, to the owner. We had been in productions prior to here where there are 60 kids in a production and though the productions were great, our daughter has learned and grown more at PPAC in the past 8 months than she did in the years before. I can’t say enough great things about the place! I recommend to any family!”
– Meghan T.

“As a mom of a 3-year-old in a class with Erika at Spanish Exploradores, I’ve seen how special this program is. Erika creates a joyful, welcoming environment where children learn Spanish naturally through play, music, and movement. What makes it even more meaningful is that both my husband and I are able to participate in class, making language learning a shared family experience. My child is gaining real language skills while being introduced to traditions of Spanish-speaking cultures and having a lot of fun while doing it! Spanish Exploradores is incredibly deserving of recognition as Best Spanish Language Program!”
– Jamye P.

“The Philadelphia Dance Academy has studios in both Old City Philadelphia and in Ardmore. We recently moved and it has been a such a blessing to have both of our children continue their ballet training in Ardmore. In addition to moving their bodies, getting stronger and more flexible, they are learning about hard work, discipline and forming amazing friendships. Miss Lori has created an environment that is so positive, and every teacher is kind, patient and experienced!”
– Main Line Community Parent

“I did an art class with Alex and it was amazing! I am 16 years old, and I would love to bring friends back to her studio! All of her classes are friendly to all ages. She is so fun to be around and clearly very creative and educated! I had such a great session with her and can’t wait to do another class in the future! I totally recommend Tiny Elephant Studios if you are looking for a fun, unique activity to do with friends or family!”
– Avery S.

“My six- and eight-year-old both attended tennis camp and absolutely loved it. Despite having different skill levels and athletic abilities, each child felt engaged and had a wonderful experience. They both said they would definitely sign up again. My son also participated in the pickleball camp and really enjoyed it. The programs included fun games that kept the kids moving, entertained, and learning throughout the entire session.”
– Main Line Community Parent

“Uptown Studio deserves the award for Best Youth Theater Program because of the extraordinary impact it has on kids and teens. As a parent who has had two daughters and one son go through Uptown Studio, I have seen firsthand how comprehensive and transformative the program is! My youngest son in particular started out as an extremely shy middle schooler would barely say hello to a stranger and now sings on stage in front of hundreds of people. He went from wondering where exactly he fit in in the world to seeing himself as someone who’s talented and unique. My children learned everything from singing and acting to improv and dance, all in an environment that is supportive, joyful, and inspiring. From preschoolers to high schoolers, the experience has been a huge boost to their confidence and self-esteem and given them the chance to have fun and build friendships. It’s inclusive and accepting of ALL kids, and the director of education, Therese Walden-Murphy, fosters the kind of welcoming, positive environment that kids and teens deserve but is sometimes so hard to find. Beyond the stage, my children have gained communication skills, creativity, teamwork, and resilience — and these will benefit them in the real world later in life no matter what they choose to do.”
– Erin L.

2026 FAMILY FAVORITE HONOREE:
Music School
West Chester Music Academy
West Chester
“West Chester Music Academy is an outstanding organization that goes far beyond traditional music lessons. Under the leadership of owner Nick Doak, the school creates a supportive, motivating environment where students truly thrive. One experience that stands out is watching a once-shy student in our family gain confidence through patient, personalized instruction. The instructors consistently go above and beyond, offering encouragement and support that extends beyond the lesson itself. West Chester Music Academy also makes a meaningful impact through free recital opportunities, allowing students to perform, grow, and celebrate their progress without added pressure on families. Their musical ladder system, where students earn trophies for commitment and achievement, is incredibly motivating and teaches discipline, pride, and perseverance. This academy doesn’t just teach music—it builds confidence, rewards dedication, and strengthens the community.”
