Your College Student Doesn’t Have to Figure It Out Alone — ReBoot4Success Has a Plan

Two structured programs from a team with 60 years inside higher education are helping Greater Philadelphia families turn academic crisis into a comeback story

ReBoot4Success.com, Philadelphia Family 2026 LOVE Award Winner – Best Academic Coach

For families on the Main Line, the signs of college struggle often arrive without warning — a GPA notification, a financial aid hold, a phone call that changes the semester’s plans entirely. ReBoot4Success was built for exactly that moment.

ReBoot4Success was recently recognized as a Philadelphia Family LOVE Award Winner for Best Academic Coach — a distinction voted on by real Philadelphia-area families who shared their experiences in their own words.

A Sequenced Path Out of Academic Crisis

What sets ReBoot4Success apart isn’t a single program — it’s a sequenced two-step system, designed around a truth that founder Robin Stokes learned across 30 years inside higher education: not every student in crisis is ready for the same next step.

Stokes spent two decades as Director of Academic Advising and Career Services at Penn State Brandywine before founding ReBoot4Success. Alongside Senior Success Coach Jan Lyons, M.Ed., CCSP — whose career includes advising at Temple University and the University of the Sciences — she brings a combined 60 years of frontline college experience to every family she works with.

“The parents are the ones who have the urgency — and the love — to make something happen,” Stokes says. “Our job is to help them channel that into a plan that actually fits their student.”

Step One: College Comeback Roadmap (July 2026)

Dates: July 22–August 18 | Enrollment deadline: July 16

The College Comeback Roadmap is a four-week “stabilize and decide” program for families in the immediate aftermath of academic crisis. It helps answer the questions that feel most urgent: What happened? What are the financial aid implications? What are the real options from here?

The program includes a full review of the student’s academic and financial aid situation, career assessments for students exploring a new direction, and a concrete roadmap for next steps — which may or may not mean an immediate return to full-time enrollment. Both the student and parent participate in their own individual 45-minute strategy session.

Step Two: Back on Track (Spring 2027)

Dates: January 27–April 28, 2027 | Enrollment deadline: January 21, 2027

For students enrolled in at least six credits and ready to practice new strategies in real time, Back on Track is a 12-week group coaching program — capped at 12 students — focused on mindset, time management, task initiation, study skills, and the executive function support many students needed long before crisis hit.

What the Outcome Can Look Like

Gabriel Acevedo came to Stokes as a student struggling to succeed at Penn State. With her guidance, he didn’t just recover — he decided to transfer to the University of Maryland and specialized in Soil and Watershed Sciences. From there, he secured positions with the USDA, and presented research on a national stage through MANRRS and the Delaware Environmental Institute Scholars.

“The connections and insights I gained from my experiences at Penn State laid a solid foundation, enabling me to thrive and excel in my new environment,” Gabriel wrote. “Your influence extends far beyond the classroom. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.”

That trajectory — from academic struggle to national research presentations — reflects what Stokes and Lyons are working toward with every student they coach.

ReBoot4Success has helped students go from academic suspension to degree completion — and the team’s combined expertise goes deeper than what we’ve covered here.
