Alex’s heart and innate ability to connect with us and our son instantly set her apart from other clinicians. She is insightful and empathic which is a powerful combination and allowed our son to be fully present and to be himself. We are all on a much better path forward now as a direct result of her work.
Highly recommend her for neurodiverse teens and their parents!

Dr. Reed was excellent to work with. She was professional, organized, and clear throughout the scheduling and evaluation process, and she was extremely responsive to messages. More importantly, she approached our family with real kindness, care, and understanding during a difficult time.
Her feedback was thoughtful, practical, and deeply respectful. She was able to explain complex things in a way that felt clear, humane, and useful. We left feeling that she was both highly competent and genuinely caring.
I would strongly recommend Dr. Reed.

We are so grateful to have found Dr. Alex Reed. She is incredibly warm and down-to-earth, and our daughter connected with her instantly—she actually had fun during the evaluation!
Before seeing Dr. Reed, we had so many unanswered questions. Her testing provided a clear “Big Picture” of her unique neurotype, explaining how her ADHD, Dyscalculia, Anxiety, and OCD are interconnected rather than isolated issues. Dr. Reed’s insight into the gap between our daughter’s high reasoning skills and her struggles with processing speed (what she calls a “high-performance engine with a tricky clutch”) was a total “lightbulb moment” for us.
We finally feel like we are on the right path to helping our daughter become the best version of herself. If you are looking for a clinician who combines deep expertise with genuine heart, we cannot recommend Dr. Reed highly enough!

Our only regret with Alex is that we did not find her sooner. From the very beginning she was validating and informative without ever being condescending or judgmental. Everything, from the first meeting, throughout the evaluation, the written report, and the follow-up meeting, was focused on honoring who our teen is while also helping us all understand how to best support their needs.
Alex took the time to explain things clearly and helped us reframe challenges in a way that highlighted our teen’s strengths and potential. Not only do we feel empowered, more importantly so does our teen.
Our family is grateful for Alex’s expertise and compassion, and we would highly recommend her to any family looking for a strengths-based psychologist.

Alex is the exact person you want evaluating your child if there are questions related to neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism), OCD, learning disabilities, or other related concerns. She is down-to-earth, relatable, truly neuroaffirming and strengths based, and able to provide quality referrals and recommendations based on the unique needs of your child. I couldn’t recommend more highly!
