Laura Kelly is the founder of The Handwork Studio, LLC. a kids’ needle arts, machine sewing and fashion community. Started at her kitchen table in 2001,The Handwork Studio passes down the tradition of teaching practical arts such as knitting, crocheting, embroidery, machine sewing and fashion to kids ages 5-16 with a fun and fresh approach.

 

Today as the leading needle arts educator of children in the United States, The Handwork Studio has a vibrant storefront in downtown Narberth, and an expanding summer camp business with over 40 locations in 10 States. Through partnerships with independent schools, day and residential camps, universities and recreation departments, The Handwork Studio works with thousands of kids yearly sharing the joys of crafting.

 

The Handwork Studio has been recognized as one of Philadelphia’s 100 fastest growing companies for 4 years by The Philadelphia Business Journal, The Wharton Small Business Development Center and The Entrepreneurs’ Forum of Greater Philadelphia.
