“Allison is a life saver, miracle worker, and a pleasure to work with. I could go on and on, but the short version is we began working together about two months before my daughter was born. We had two prenatal visits before her birth and I learned so much valuable info. However, the real magic happened at our postpartum visit. It was 5 days since I gave birth and my daughter was eating well but her latch was off. By the time Allison arrived the thought of feeding her again via my breasts was unfathomable. When Allison visited, she made some slight adjustments and there was virtually NO PAIN during the feed. She gave me some tips and tricks to help with the engorgement along with other helpful advice and great conversation. Even though my pregnancy itself was relatively easy, I ended up going to 42 weeks and had a much more difficult labor than expected, with a few complications along the way. “I was looking for a doula that I was able to afford as we just bought a house and planned on birthing at a birthing center. At Connected Doulas, they worked with my budget and offered me a newer doula that would be able to support us without extending our budget. We matched with Daria Bennett and she was phenomenal, even though new (we were her 3rd birth I believe). She took her time with us for each visit, we never felt rushed!
