Rutter Roofing & Exteriors Reflects on Growth with Gratitude

Discover how this work “family” makes it happen - together.

Rutter Roofing & Exteriors is the one-stop-shop for families around the Main Line and Philadelphia’s Western Suburbs who need exterior home renovations. This mission took on an added importance through 2020, as families spent more time at home than ever before.

Through this unprecedented pandemic, Cory Rutter and his team dedicated their focus to helping customers re-establish home values and protect their loved ones. “That’s what we’re all about, family and protecting what’s important to you. This is what we do, so we were up to the challenge,”  describes Jackie Daller, Rutter’s Director of Business Development.

Through 2020, Rutter Roofing & Exteriors worked hard to serve their customers and community. They raised funds for Today is a Good Day, a non-profit that supports families navigating the NICU journey. They celebrated being named the Main Line Parent LOVE Award Winner for “Best Exterior Remodeler” and making the Philadelphia 100—a prestigious list of fastest-growing businesses in the region. They also donated and installed a new CertainTeed roof system for a deserving U.S. Military Veteran, pictured above.

Despite continued challenges in 2021—from labor and supply shortages to adverse weather—Team Rutter has calmly and strategically kept going, keeping their values at the forefront. “We strive to take care of our customers like we would for our own families. Our customers live and work within the same communities we do,” says Daller.

Employment became a very real issue for many people since the outbreak of the pandemic, but Rutter was able to retain their employees—and even grow their team. Rutter Roofing & Exteriors is proud to provide jobs to community members, and is actively hiring, even currently offering incentives to gain new hires. “We encourage employees to grow themselves personally and professionally when they work with us. When you become a member of Team Rutter, you become family, and we want the best for all of our employees and their families,” Daller explains.

“It’s not just that we’re a solid and steadily growing company, and that since inception, we have beaten the previous year’s total sales, every year. It’s more than that. Having a team that believes in what we do and how we do it is essential to the success of our business. There are plenty of challenges that will be thrown at us in the future, but we know we can handle it, because we’re a team, we are a family.”

Most recently, Rutter Roofing & Exteriors has expanded its physical footprint and now occupies two office locations within their wide service area. The main office and headquarters for Team Rutter remains at 345 Lancaster Avenue in Malvern. The second location has opened in Montgomery County located just off the Collegeville exit of 422 at 324 W. Main Street in historic Trappe.

“With a growing team and the anticipation for growth still to come, it was a logical move to occupy this location with a portion of the team. We relocated a few of the team who are more centrally located to this area. The beautiful old building we are in sits directly on busy Main Street in Trappe and that direct road frontage increases accessibility for our customers up and down the 422 corridor. This location presents a nice place for customers to review contracts, drop off payments, and look at or pick up samples.” Daller says.

“We are so excited to become more actively involved here in Trappe and the surrounding areas, to continue building relationships and expanding our charitable efforts throughout our entire service area.”

Values like family, honesty, and integrity are at the cornerstone of everything Rutter Roofing & Exteriors does. Their team is known for outstanding customer service and quality work, but also for giving back to the community. This year, they established their CSL Pledge (short for Community & Service through Leadership), an initiative to consistently give back throughout the year by supporting veterans, donating to local food banks, raising funds to support non-profit organizations, and with acts of service as volunteers.

Team Rutter is currently holding a virtual food drive to raise funds and collect food donations to support PHILABUNDANCE, the area’s largest food bank. If you are interested in donating to the drive visit www.rutterroofing.com
