So many, in fact, it may be hard to keep track, and big events might sneak up on you. So to help your planning a little more, we’re bringing you our Monthly Must-Dos—high-level events and trends to keep on your radar as soon as you turn that calendar page. 1. Longwood Gardens Orchid Extravaganza

Through March 22 (OrKID Day on February 17)

Embrace the warmth of a lush sanctuary filled with thousands of vibrant, artfully presented orchids from around the world. On OrKID Days, there are special activities and hands-on stations just for children, so be sure to stop by on February 17 for this month’s event.

2. Indoor Mini Golf at Linvilla Orchards

‘Fore! The Planet’ is a highly interactive and playful museum exhibit created by the Academy of Natural Sciences with 18 holes of golf that each explores a different topic of our natural world.

Step into a mind-bending, colorful, larger-than-life and interactive 15,000 square foot pop-up installation in the King of Prussia Mall. It closes at the end of the month, so pop in and do it for the ‘gram while you still can!

4. The Princess and the Pea

The classic tale of the princess who must prove herself with several tests gets a contemporary update in this new hour-long musical for children. Tickets available online.

6. Philly Home and Garden Show

February 14—16

The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Avenue, Oaks

 

Get inspiration for home improvement, design, gardening, and much more. Plus “Make It Take It” workshops, a marketplace, and celebrity speakers on stage. Tickets available online.

 

7. Main Line Parent & Philadelphia Family Summer Camp Fair

February 23, 11 am–2 pm

Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, 500 W. Willow Grove Ave., Philadelphia

 

Meet with over 80 camps, ask questions that go beyond perusing websites and brochures, and find the perfect fit for your best summer yet at this free event. Attendees will also receive the Philadelphia Family and Main Line Parent Camp Guide to take home and learn more about exhibiting camps. The Camp Fair will host a wide range of camp types (both day and overnight), including service, adventure, sports, nature, STEM, academics, language immersion, arts, and more for all ages. Even better, many of the participating exhibitors will be offering the opportunity to win a free week of camp. In addition to being a great resource for families, the Camp Fair will also include a Healthy Kids Showcase, with entertainment and hands-on activities for all ages. Lunch and snacks will be available for purchase at the Camp Fair Café.
