Unveiling the Eclipse: A Journey Through Astronomical Wonders

Join an enlightening talk at UMT Library where they’ll explore the fascinating world of eclipses! Their discussion will cover the mechanisms behind eclipses, the various types they come in, and specifically, what to expect on Monday, April 8, 2024.

Discover why this upcoming eclipse is creating such a buzz and learn when and where to catch the best views. We’ll also provide tips on selecting optimal vantage points, ensuring your safety during observation, and essential tools like certified viewing glasses and pinhole viewing boxes. Every participant will receive an eclipse glass at the end of the presentation. Don’t miss out on this informative session where we’ll unravel the wonders awaiting you when the skies align.

About the presenter:

Salvatore Salamone is a writer and educator living in King of Prussia. He has degrees in general and atmospheric physics. Sal taught undergraduate astronomy for non-science majors, and as a researcher, he was inducted into Sigma Pi Sigma, the National Physics & Astronomy Honor Society. He has a long history of working on and running eclipse-related educational programs. As a writer, Sal has served as a technology editor at numerous science and technology magazines and websites. He is the author of two business technology books and is currently Editor-in-Chief of RTInsights, a site dedicated to advancing the field of real-time analytics and artificial intelligence.
