Family Festival: Black Artists, Black Stories

February 4 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

It’s Pay-What-You-Wish admission on first Sunday of the month! This Sunday, celebrate storytelling in art and explore works by Black American artists.

10 am – 3 pm | Art Kids Studio | South Vaulted Walkway
Explore the artwork of Sister Gertrude Morgan and consider what stories are meaningful to you.

11 am – 2 pm | Shadow Play | Great Stair Hall
Inspired by the silhouettes of Moses Williams, use projectors and lamps to tell stories through shadow.

11 am & 2 pm | Storytelling in the Galleries | Gallery 152
Join interactive storyteller Thembi Palmer and imagine tall tales based on artworks in Of God and Country.
