Blessing of the (Stuffed) Animals

Main Point Books is hosting a very special story time and Blessing of the Stuffed Animals with author Lisa Papp. She’ll be sharing her new picture book, “Madeline Finn and the Blessing of the Animals.” All are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animal friend to receive a blessing! At 11 am in our lower level Kids Section.

About Blessing of the Animals The Blessing of the Animals, usually celebrated near the birthday of St. Francis of Assisi, is a charming tradition to honor the role of animals and pets in our lives. It happens in many different religious and secular contexts. Kids who want to participate will be able to introduce their stuffed animals and receive a sweet blessing to honor how they love and care for this animal and others. Kids can also bring pictures of their pets if they like!
