InstaARTS: Free Online Art Classes Start in October 2021

Free live online arts classes for students in grades 3–12 to discover their inner artists!

PAEP’s mission is to promote life-long learning in and through the arts for Pre-K to grade 12 students, seniors, and special populations throughout southeastern Pennsylvania.

Born out of the school closures in 2020, The Philadelphia Arts in Education Partnership joined its Pennsylvania Council on the Arts partner, Arts in Education Northeast PA, to deliver the new InstaARTS program, free live online arts classes for students in grades 3–12.

Students engage in art-making activities taught by PA Council on the Arts Directory artists from both the Philadelphia and Scranton areas through a range of art mediums including visual art, poetry, movement, music, and theater.

Teaching artists trained in the unique InstaARTS framework deliver lessons through the Zoom platform.

InstaARTS will be held after school on Wednesday and Friday, and on Saturday mornings. The Fall Term will begin in October 2021.

InstaARTS is supported in part by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.

PAEP supports the Main Line Parent Community.

PAEP brings professional visual and performing artists into schools and community sites throughout southeastern Pennsylvania inclusive of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, to engage all learners in hands-on arts-making activities, provide professional development to the field, and perform action research reporting on the impact of the arts on student learning both quantitatively and qualitatively.
