Sky Soup Art Center

Description

Sky Soup provides a space for children to explore art-making with diverse materials, with a focus on process rather than product. Through age-appropriate, theme-based projects, children learn that problems have multiple solutions, that perspectives vary, that small changes matter, and that creative judgment outweighs rigid rules. Art making nurtures children’s visual voice and invites joyful discovery as their work unfolds.

2022 LOVE Award Winner: Best Art Classes

Family Focus Media has been building community with Main Line Parent and Philadelphia Family since 2010 and our annual LOVE Awards celebrate the BEST local resources for families, thanks to thousands of nominations like this one:

My daughters love Sky Soup. Ms. Heather is a very kind and calm presence and connects with children really well. She encourages kids’ creativity. Mine always come back from their art classes excited to share with me what they’ve made. The studio has great health and safety protocols.

Community Love

“Have to send a huge thank you to Heather at sky soup who made my son’s bday party so thoughtfully planned and so fun. There were lots of *spirited* children there, age 2-9, and Heather ran the show, never flustered or frustrated, so I could relax a bit. Heather even had a pre-activity to keep kids busy while we waited for everyone to arrive. The space is wonderful and interactive, and colorful plastic plates, cups and cutlery are provided so you only have to bring food (and booze if you choose, which we did) – I even left behind a bowl and serving spoon, and when I came by a few days later to pick them up, they had been cleaned with care. Heather puts everyone at ease, and is an absolute pleasure!” – Anne C.

“We are huge fans of Sky Soup! Week after week, Heather has opened our 2 & 4 year olds’ eyes to the infinite possibilities of art – they love going to class and are so proud of their creations. So grateful to have Sky Soup in our community!” – Erin B.

“Heather is a creative artist and brings her love of art to people of all ages and skill levels. She will assist you and/or your group to creat something you will love. This experience will be great and you can take you creation with you to proudly share and admire.” – Edwin M.
