I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Penn Wynne Presbyterian School, and the Explorers program is truly in a league of its own. Our older son attended the preschool, but at the time the full-day program was not yet offered. Even so, our experience was so positive that once the full-day Explorers program became available, we immediately knew we wanted our younger child to be part of it.

We entered the year with high expectations, and yet those expectations were quickly exceeded. The children participate in engaging, hands-on science investigations, reading, Fundations (a program commonly used in public schools beginning in first grade), math, cooking, and a variety of specials including gym, library, and art—among so much more. The small class sizes allow students to feel safe, heard, and supported, with individualized attention when needed.

Thanks to Ms. Kate, Ms. Peale, and Ms. Ellen, my child has developed a true love of learning and an eagerness to go to school each and every day. As a teacher in a local district, I feel confident knowing my children are not only more than prepared for first grade, but are also benefiting from natural play, hands-on learning, and strong social-emotional development—experiences that are truly invaluable. Explorers is, without a doubt, the best kindergarten program in the area.

I moved to my neighborhood specifically to be able to walk to this preschool and before and after care program for Penn Wynne Elementary, and was on a a two year waitlist to get in, and it was 10000000% worth it. The teachers and staff are truly incredible and deeply care for the well being and education of my son. He attended two years of preschool, continues to attend for before/aftercare as a first grader, and begs to go back for summer camp.

Our family has been part of this preschool community for the past four years, with multiple children attending and more who will be enrolling in the future. From the very beginning, it has truly felt like a family-like community. The teachers and staff are incredibly caring, dedicated, and hardworking, and it’s clear how much they genuinely love and invest in the children.

The Pre-K program does a wonderful job preparing kids for kindergarten, building both academic skills and confidence in a developmentally appropriate way. The kindergarten program, in particular, is highly, highly recommended. The kindergarten teachers are absolutely amazing—kind, patient, and deeply caring, while also encouraging the children to really learn and grow. They strike the perfect balance of gently pushing the kids academically while still making learning enjoyable and age-appropriate.

The small class size is ideal for this age, allowing for individualized attention and strong teacher-student relationships. On top of all of that, the pricing is very reasonable for the quality of education and care provided.

We cannot recommend this school highly enough and are grateful to be part of such a wonderful community. We will happily be sending more of our children here in the future.

I love this place! We had a great first experience when our son (who had been diagnosed with autism) started. His teacher was on the ball (knew his IEP backwards and forwards) and helped us advocate for getting him services through the county. They did everything they could to accommodate his needs. My daughter now attends here as well. While my son has now moved onto elementary school, they still ask about him and are excited to see him when he’s there to drop off or pick up his sister. My daughter loves it here as well. The community of teachers and parents is amazing and I wish we could take this place & community with us as our children grow. I have no qualms about entrusting them with the care and education of our children, the teachers and staff actually care. I will be sad when we have to move on!

10 out of 10 , I would definitely recommend Penn Wynne Presbyterian preschool. All the teachers are great.

Words cannot describe what the Penn Wynne Presbyterian School has meant to my family. Not only did my children receive an excellent education, but the teachers and parents became my village. I have three kids, with three very different personalities and learning styles, and all of their social and emotional needs were met.
