Moving Families Forward
Description
Moving Families Forward is a Teletherapy practice that helps individuals, couples, and families strengthen their relationships and make positive changes in their lives. Practice owner, Dahlia Rifkin, works with children, teens, parents, and couples, supporting them in navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and family conflicts. She uses traditional talk therapy along with creative movement interventions and EMDR therapy for a mind-body approach.
Springtime Events
There are new 10-week therapy groups for tween and teen girls beginning this Spring! These groups are geared for girls ages 10-18, looking to build self-esteem, make friendships, and learn tools to manage anxiety and other stressors using the creative arts. Each week a new theme will be presented, such as self-love, anxiety, positive vs. negative thinking, and mindfulness, and the girls will process these themes and learn skills using music, art, and breathing techniques.

A session with Dahlia always gave our family an opportunity to connect with each other. She facilitated creative activities like drawing, writing, or movement as another modality for communication. Dahlia built trust in individual sessions with our daughter, and provided additional support and problem-solving in phone calls with me. We are grateful for our sessions with her.
