My son almost never made a roster.
For years, he couldn’t catch a ball. He couldn’t track it through the air — no matter how hard he tried or how many coaches worked with him. It was frustrating for him, and heartbreaking as parents watching a child work so hard and still struggle. More than anything, it slowly affected his confidence.
Then we brought him to see Dr. Ormando.
Within minutes, Dr. Ormando identified something no one else had ever caught — a rare eye-tracking issue that had gone unnoticed for years. Suddenly, everything started to make sense.
With the right care, the right lenses, and a team that genuinely refused to give up until they got it right, everything changed. The boy who once struggled to track a ball became a starting athlete. But even more importantly, he became confident again.
To say it changed his life is an understatement.
What impressed us most wasn’t just the diagnosis — it was the level of care, patience, and dedication. They looked beyond a routine eye exam and truly understood how vision impacts confidence, learning, sports, and everyday life.
That kind of care is rare.
If you are a parent whose child is struggling — in sports, school, reading, headaches, focus, or confidence — don’t assume they’ll “grow out of it.” Sometimes the issue is something no one has thought to look for yet.
Now he plays football, lacrosse and is an all around athlete. He wears contacts and looks amazing in his glasses. Overall best experience!
