I can’t say enough good things about SHIFT! 💚 I’ve been a fan since before they opened their pop-up in the market and one of the first when they opened their storefront. Typically, I don’t enjoy errands, but I genuinely look forward to visiting SHIFT—that is all due to the efforts of owners Kimberley and Eleisha! What truly sets it apart is the care and intention behind everything they offer. They do the research so I don’t have to—curating sustainable home and beauty products that are genuinely effective, thoughtfully sourced, and high quality. I trust that every item on the shelves aligns with the low-waste, sustainable lifestyle I strive for.

Shopping here has honestly simplified my life. Instead of endlessly researching products or feeling torn between convenience and sustainability, I know I can walk in and find options that check all the boxes—without compromise. That’s one less mental task in my life, which is very welcome!

Beyond the products, the sense of community they’ve built is something special. It’s a welcoming, inclusive space that makes sustainable living feel approachable and thoughtful rather than overwhelming. And let’s be honest—the shop itself is beautiful. The aesthetics are intentionally curated, making every visit feel inspiring.

SHIFT has become a staple in my routine and a place I’m proud to support. It proves that living sustainably can be practical, beautiful, and deeply community-driven all at once. 💚

I love Shift and their approachable attitude that “every shift counts.” The shop and community is such a welcoming space with so many opportunities to make the low-waste shift(s) that are right for you. But no pressure to go waste-free.
I use their vinegar concentrate, Dip shampoo bars, toilet bombs, & dishwasher powder. I often try something new from the self care section- like the jade roller or the compostable chap stick. I haven’t made it yet but many friends rave about their clothing swap nights.
They also periodically host vendors whose services to help you sustain what you already own- like mending clothing or knife sharoening

Shift is more than transactions- it’s a community building a better future. Shop local. Support Shift. Every shift counts.

My journey with SHIFT began with a desire to have safe, clean products in my home. I was willing to pay more, but quickly discovered that I was actually saving money by using high-quality products that aren’t diluted.

What makes SHIFT truly special is that alongside exceptional products comes education, which shows how small shifts in behavior can lead to meaningful impact.

The most amazing aspect of this business, however, is the community Kimberley and Elisha have created. From supporting other small and female-owned businesses and organizations to hosting events and creating a “third space” where neighbors can show up for one another, SHIFT is much more than a store.

SHIFT is a very special place, and Narberth is lucky to have it.

Shift is an absolutely beautiful store— beautiful in aesthetic, mission, integrity, products, and community-focused events. It is my favorite place in Narberth. The products are of such high quality and I feel good about helping the environment while using products that I love. The owners and staff are friendly, enthusiastic, helpful (never preachy), and just good people. Shift is one of the greatest things about Narberth.

Shift is one of the best things that happened to Narberth! I use them regularly to refill my laundry detergent, toothpaste tabs, facial lotion, eye serum, lip gloss, hand soap and much more! Every time I’m in there I usually leave with a gift or a small vintage item or clothing! I always feel good shopping here as well knowing that my money is going towards a wonderful store and businesses that support and create sustainable products!

They offer so many wonderful and otherwise unavailable or hard to find services and we like and feel good about using their refillable products.

  • Skylar

What I love most about SHIFT is their community-centered focus, opening their space up for local artisans to share their craft and local community members to learn. They are also more than happy to provide product recommendations based on your personal needs. Thank you SHIFT!

SHIFT’s passion for low waste living and their commitment to supporting local businesses while building community is a constant inspiration. We are so proud to be a part of this amazing shop and could not be more grateful to Eleisha and Kimberley for their encouragement and support over the years. They have helped us create less waste in our home and helped us divert waste as makers. We feel very lucky to have this special refillery as part of our community. We love their products (especially their laundry detergent, dish soap and charcoal deodorant!) and we have made many shifts in our life because of them – Every SHIFT truly does make a difference. 💚

SHIFT is my favorite place to shop for sustainable home goods. They put a lot of research into the products they stock, so I know I’m buying quality when I shop there. They host a bunch of lovely community events and do a great job promoting local makers and small businesses. In addition to shopping there, I also sell candles at the store, and they have been so supportive and easy to work with. Selling at SHIFT has connected me to a wonderful network of customers and other sustainability-focused vendors. This store is such a benefit to the community!

  • Philly Montessori

Mainline Shift has been an invaluable partner for our school, Philly Montessori. Their refillable soaps and cleaning products have helped us streamline daily operations while significantly reducing waste. Just as importantly, using MainLineShift has become a meaningful, hands-on learning opportunity for our children, reinforcing lessons around sustainability, responsibility, and environmental stewardship in a very real way. We’ve also found their refill system to be cost-effective, making it a smart and values-aligned choice for our school. We’re proud to partner with a local business that supports both our operational needs and our educational mission.

SHIFT has made it possible to begin living more sustainably like we’ve dreamed of since before the pandemic. It only took the 1-hour introduction to Zero-Waste living to literally change our lives. We’ve cut down on so much plastic from simply and easily switching to sustainable dental floss, dish and laundry detergents, soaps, shampoos, and lotions. No more buying bottles of hydrogen peroxide! We love the way we can bring personal care glass containers back to be cleaned and reused. We’ve even bought designer clothes at SHIFT that we could not find on line ANYWHERE. Truly this store has become our one-stop shopping for almost all our cleaning and personal care needs.

Shift is a wonderful store with a wonderful mission run by two wonderful women! This is my favorite place to shop! Great products, totally sustainable, unique, friendly and community minded! I bring all of my out of town friends here!

  • Rosemarie Fabien

Shift is terrific. Like a cup of tea, the design of the shop itself lowers stress. The affordable self-care and cleaning products provide easy options for offsetting one’s environmental footprint, and the staff is kind and knowledgable. Shift is also full of surprises and serendipidous finds that you’ll buy as a gift and end up keeping for yourself!

As a low waste mother of three, I have never been more committed to/overwhelmed by the health of our planet. Fortunately for me, both owners of Shift are also parents, so I’ve had a reliable “hand to hold” through my ever changing sustainability journey.

I love that every product has been tested by the owners, so I don’t have to go through the trial and error process on my own. I appreciate how there is always a suggestion or solution for problems I’m having. And I enjoy the classes and workshops that keep me excited about eco-living. But the cherry on top is that the store front is so beautifully curated, they’ve somehow managed to make shopping for essentials feel like a luxury boutique experience!

It is easy to start with one small Shift that leads to others. I started with pump soap for my kitchen sink and gradually added more products and less containers thrown away. The products are concentrated so a little goes a long way. I use their laundry detergent, dishwasher powder, soap, lip balm. Thanks for all the pop ups and collaborations that are about reducing waste and repurposing, recycling, composting and supporting local. Hello Narbees honey,

  • Elisa Peters

What a great shop! Super friendly owners, lots of products to choose from, and, most importantly, helping to change our world for the better! Wish I lived closer so I could stop in more often. Hoping they expand to the Media area one of these days.

SHIFT is a natural partner of Teachers’ Teammates. Eleisha and Kimberley recognize the potential to meet all students’ and educators’ school supply needs without having to spend scarce resources or do without. SHIFT is a store with a community that has the imagination required to see the bounty already present among us by distributing surplus where needed and reusing and repurposing materials in under-resourced classrooms.
The most recent treasure we received from SHIFT and passed on to appreciative students and teachers are buckets and buckets of wine corks – to be used in art and science projects! Thank you for keeping Teachers’ Teammates in mind and your ongoing support!

  • Jane Berna

I started visiting Shift way back when they were in the market in Narberth. Once they opened their own space I became a frequent visitor and consumer. I now buy all soaps at Shift: laundry, dishwasher, dish, hand (both liquid and solid), shower, shampoo. I also purchase other products as well. I buy no soaps at other stores and I refill everything in glass bottles! Kimberley and Aleisha are supportive and never judge you on how much you are doing to save our planet. Try it out! You’ll love going there!

  • Carolyn Vachani

The first time I walked into Shift, I was a complete novice to the low-waste lifestyle. The team here is passionate about helping you make small changes that add up. I wanted to try shampoo and conditioner bars, and they walked me through selecting the right one for my hair, and I was hooked. I love the personal attention and guidance that is lacking in big-box stores. And bonus- something fun always catches my eye in the second-hand section!

I love this place! I get all my home cleaning products here including laundry detergent and dish soap. I also get personal care products here and I am able to refill containers I already have. I bought several Christmas gift packages here and my family loved the products. As a mom, I love how much hope this place gives me as the consumer! I love promoting a better future for my children.
