When planning where you’d like to raise your family there are so many things to take into consideration. Many people are invested in finding a neighborhood that feels right for them. In this series, we’ve invited a few of our Main Line Parent Members to connect us with a local family they’ve served to explore why they love where they live.

Media is located in Delaware County and is known for its small town charm, cultural events, dining options, outdoor spaces, and historical significance.

“I first saw Veronika’s work on instagram. I was blown away by her dreamy light filled shots and knew I had to book a session. Getting out the door anywhere on time is always a challenge with kids. I never leave enough time to take care of myself. When we arrived at Veronika’s studio, I was able to leave my stressors at the door. Her endless assortment of beautiful dresses for me to choose from, combined with her ability to entertain my toddler put my mind at ease! I am over the moon to have found her, and I know she’ll be capturing our family’s special moments in time for years to come.” ~ Leah Davey

Veronika Paluch Photography is proud to share their work and introduce you to the Davey family, to share why they love where they live.

Which town do you call home?

“We live in Media.”

What drew you to the neighborhood?

“We love the charming borough, walkability and quaint tree lined streets.”

What was the most important thing you considered when picking your kids’ school?

“Our daughter is in an in home daycare that feels like family. We love the laid back feeling and trust that she is safe, well taken care of and loved every day in a home-like setting where she feels most comfortable.”

What does a typical weekend look like for your family?

“We start the weekend by going out for pizza on Friday nights! We wake up on Saturday morning and look forward to unlimited couch sitting, cups of coffee, playing, and take-out.”

What is your go-to shop for kids’ birthday gifts?

“We love Deal’s in the borough. It’s so special to be able to take our daughter to a classic 5 & 10 store- they just don’t make them like that anymore!”

What is your favorite local kid-friendly restaurant?

Pinocchio’s in Media. We feel at home. There are always kids running around and they have pizza dough to play with and lollipops on the way out!”

What is the best piece of parenting advice you’ve received?

“Your children need the best version of YOU more than they need anything else. My daughter’s pediatrician told me this when I was really struggling to nurse her, and I apply it to everything.”
