Want to celebrate the New Year with your family, but don’t want to stay up late? Then pack up some noise-makers and join the fun at one of these “countdown to noon” and kid-friendly New Year’s Eve (day) celebrations. By all means, you can ring in the new year together and still be in bed at a decent hour!

Around the Main Line area, you’ll find a plethora daytime celebrations where your family can ring in the new year. To help you start a tradition of doing something special on NYE, we’ve rounded up a host of family-friendly, New Year’s Eve events, from early morning, until early evening on December 31.

Want to join a blowout kid party with music, entertainment, balloon drops, and confetti at the Please Touch Museum, LEGOLAND Discovery Center, or Arnold’s Entertainment Center? How about skating your way into the new year at Flight on Ice, an outdoor rink with firepits and entertainment? Or maybe you’d prefer to stay local and enjoy crafts, stories, and interactive activities at the library? However you want to celebrate, you don’t need to stay up til midnight to welcome in the new year!
