Minas introduces students to the country of Brazil through its music, Samba and Bossa Nova. After performing examples of Brazilian music and presenting historic, geographical, and educational references, Minas will introduce Brazil’s famous festival Carnaval, demonstrating authentic Brazilian percussion instruments - surdo, tamborim, repinique, agogô, reco-reco, ganzá, pandeiro, and cuíca.
