Winter is quickly approaching and daylight savings is in full swing. Being trapped indoors with a rambunctious toddler can be intimidating. Thankfully, there are tons of preschool sports and activities on the Main Line to keep them active, and you, out of the house.

Winter Preschool Sports for Young Children

Join a preschool sports league, or try something new like martial arts, gymnastics or rock climbing. Alternatively, bundle your kiddo up to experience the excitement of skiing for the very first time. Here are some ways to keep your little ones active, social, and engaged all winter.

Spring Mountain Adventures

About 30-minutes from the Main Line, Spring Mountain offers kids the opportunity to learn outdoor winter sports. The Ice Mice and Ski Bees Programs are available to children as young as 3. Before hitting the lift, children will ride the Magic Carpet, play games, and learn how to put on skis and ski boots.

Spring Mountain also offers after-school and weekend programs, along with private ski and board lessons. Local Limerick mom, Jess Gallo, has had her boys on skis as early as age 4.

Based on her experience in multiple ski programs, she said, “the instructors are absolutely wonderful.” She hopes to get her almost one-year old on a pair of skis next winter.
