Easter Events Around the Main Line

It's the most eggscellent time of the year! Fill your basket with egg hunts, brunches, train rides, and more this Easter season!

The Easter Bunny sure is busy this time of year, hopping all around the Main Line. To help fill your basket with Easter fun this year, we’ve collected a bunch of the bunny’s appearances in our area, including community egg hunts, train rides, and brunch, plus other holiday-themed activities for the kids!

Easter Events

Easter Bunny Experience

March 17–April 8, 2023 | M–F, 11 am–7 pm; Saturdays 10 am–8 pm; Sundays, 11 am–6 pm

Celebrate the Easter Holiday by creating photo memories your family will remember forever. Reservations encouraged, but walk-up guests are welcome.

Easter Bunny Brunch and Egg Hunt at Elmwood Park Zoo

Saturdays & Sundays, March 25–April 9, 2023, at 10 am, 11:15 am, or 12:30 pm

Hop on over to the Elmwood Park Zoo for a special brunch with the Easter Bunny on Saturdays and Sundays, March 25 through April 9! Enjoy a delicious breakfast, participate in some Easter activities, and meet one of the beloved education animals. Don’t forget to grab a photo with the Easter Bunny and explore the zoo! There are three brunch sessions each day: 10 am, 11:15 am, and 12:30 pm. Space is limited for this event, so please register early. Your ticket includes admission to the zoo, brunch, a photo-op with the Easter Bunny and more!

Elmo’s Eggstravaganza

March 25 & 26 and April 1–10, 2023; opens 10 am
Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne

Don’t miss Elmo’s Eggstravaganza — an exciting Easter Celebration on select dates in 2023, plus a Passover celebration! Guests can visit Sesame Place for a hoppin’ good time with rides, shows, Sesame Street Party Parade, plus special Easter and Passover fun with everyone’s favorite furry friends! Some of the holiday highlights include the Easter Bunny in his Picture Patch, an Easter Egg scavenger hunt, Furry Friends Bunny Hop Dance Party. You can also reserve a meal with Elmo, Abby, and the Easter Bunny for even more fun. On April 9 and 10, there will be a special Passover celebration and sing-along in the Sesame Street neighborhood. You can purchase tickets online in advance, however reservations are not required to visit Sesame Place!

Linvilla Orchards’ Hayrides to Bunnyland

Hayrides to Bunnyland at Linvilla Orchards

There’s no place quite like Bunnyland at Linvilla Orchards. Hop aboard a hayride as it carries you through the woods to visit the Easter Bunny’s house where you’ll have the chance to meet Linvilla’s Easter Bunny! While visiting; one of the Bunny’s friends will tell you a magical story and you will receive a special treat. Be sure to bring your own camera and reserve tickets online in advance.

Lunch with the Easter Bunny

March 26, 2023, 12 pm and 2 pm seatings

Have lunch with Easter Bunny at Swarthmore Pizza.

Stop in for have lunch and visit with the Easter Bunny! The Easter Bunny will be hopping around and visiting with the children on the afternoon of Saturday, March 26. Reservation is required for this Easter lunch event, so call (610) 543-3474 to reserve a spot at the 12 pm seating or 2pm seating.

Cricket Springs & Easter Things

It’s the season for another edition of LuLu’s Casita Cricket Springs & Easter Things! This is an outdoor spring and Easter-themed event for the little ones and their siblings, held on the first block of Cricket Avenue in Ardmore. The morning event will be filled with live music from Roots with Ruark, a dance circle, photos with the Easter Bunny, a sensory station, build-your-own fairy gardens, character appearances including Elmo and a princess, snacks and refreshments for the kiddos and much more! Cost is $30 per child and $5 per adult. To purchase tickets please email info@luluscasita.com. Space is limited due to capacity restrictions.

Hayrides to the Easter Bunny at Highland Orchards

April 1 & 2 and April 6–8, 2023; 10 am–3 pm
1000 Marshallton-Thorndale Road, West Chester

Take a ride on a hay wagon to visit the Easter Bunny in his burrow! Afterwards, browse the Farm Market where you’ll find plenty of Easter treats for every taste from cupcakes, pies, and donuts, to jelly beans, chocolates, and of course, eggs! Tickets are $8 per person and children under three are free. Rides leave every half hour; reserve tickets online.

Shady Brook Farm Easter Eggstravaganza

April 1 & 2 and April 6–8, 2023; 10 am–5 pm
931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley

There’s lots of Easter fun at the Eggstravaganza! Take a wagon ride to the “hunting grounds” where kids will find six candy-filled eggs, get a prize, and meet the Easter Bunny. Hop back on the wagon to return to the Festival Field for a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, prizes and loads of activities, and tasty food and drinks (spiked bevvys available for the adults). Afterwards, play on go-karts, the obstacle course, inflatables, the sports zone, and more in the Festival Field. Admission includes all activities. Tickets are $15 for children and $10 for adults online, or $20 for children and $15 for adults at the gate.

West Chester Railroad’s Easter Bunny Express

April 1 & 2 and 8 & 9, 2023; Departures at 12 pm and 2 pm
230 E. Market Street, West Chester

Meet the bunny onboard the the West Chester Railroad.

Hop’ on board the West Chester Railroad and take a 90 minute round trip along the beautiful Chester Creek from West Chester to the historic Glen Mills village. The Easter Bunny will be on board the heated decorated train handing out treats to all passengers! During the brief stop at the historic Glen Mills station, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to take a quick photo with the Easter Bunny and explore the historic station. Additionally, there will be live onboard entertainment! Tickets available for purchase online.

Free Easter Bunny Photos and Petting Zoo at Smithbridge Gardens

April 6–8, 2023, 10 am–2 pm

Celebrate Spring at Smithbridge Gardens where you can enjoy a free petting zoo and free pictures with the Easter Bunny! During your visit you can browse spring flowers, plants and more for sale at the garden center.

It’s A Bunny Event

April 7, 2023, 5–7 pm
The Barn Yard, 305 2nd Avenue, #212, Collegeville

Bring your little one to the Easter Bunny Barn Night! Enjoy an open play night while the bunny hops around the barn. Perfect for a low-pressure meet and greet while you play! Bunny visit, craft, and play included. Cost is $20 per non-member child. Free for members. Registration is required.

Strasburg Rail Road Easter Bunny Train

April 7–9, 2023; Multiple departures each day

Hop aboard the Strasburg Rail Road with the Bunny.

Welcome spring on a ride through beautiful farmland with the Easter Bunny as your conductor! Kids are sure to be delighted when the Easter Bunny greets them on board during their ride on the the Strasburg Rail Road steam train. The Easter Bunny Train ride is 45 minutes; see the Strasburg Rail Road website for departure times and tickets.

Easter Weekend at Longwood Gardens

April 8 & 9, 2023, 10 am – 6 pm

Make it an Easter event to spend some time in the beauty of Longwood Gardens. As you take a flower-filled stroll, savor the vibrant hues, fresh fragrances, and natural sounds of spring. In the Conservatory, enjoy live string quartet selections each afternoon from 1–4 pm. Advance timed admission tickets are required and can be made online or by phone. 

Egg Hunts

Anderson Farm Park Flashlight Egg Hunt

March 31, 2023, 7:30–8:30 pm
Anderson Farm Park, 499 Hopwood Road, Collegeville

Grab your flashlights and friends and come out for the annual flashlight egg hunt, geared for tweens and teens, ages 11-15 years old. Participants will have the opportunity to search a designated area in the park with their flashlights for candy-filled eggs and choose a prize bag at the conclusion of the event. This is an outdoor event and the organizers encourage participants to dress appropriately for the weather. Don’t forget your flashlight and bag! Boot Road Park Egg Hunt

April 1, 2023, 10 am
110 W. Boot Road, West Chester

Bring your own basket and hunt for eggs (and treats) at Boot Road Park in West Chester. Kids, ages 10 and under, and individuals with special needs of all ages are invited to participate. The hunt will begin at 10 am and is over very quickly!

Veterans Memorial Park Easter Eggstravaganza

April 1, 2023, 12 pm–5 pm (rain date Sunday, April 2)
Veterans Memorial Park in Marple Township, 354 Lawrence Road, Broomall

Plan for a fun-filled day at the Easter Eggstravaganza and egg hunt at Veterans Memorial Park in Marple Township! Enjoy a variety of local vendors, food, and kids’ activities, along with free pictures with the bunny and an egg hunt! The egg hunts (by age group) will begin at 1:30 pm. Parking and admission is free. Please register the age and number of children participating in the egg hunt, so the organizers can prepare for the event.

The Barn Yard’s 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt

April 2, 2023, 9:30–12 pm
The Barn Yard, 305 2nd Avenue, #212, Collegeville

A special friend will be visiting and hiding their special bunny eggs all over the Barn Yard for you to come and find. After the mega hunt, enjoy a continental breakfast, a fun Easter craft, and play! Cost is $45 for a non-member child and two parents, and $30 for each additional child. Cost for members is $20 per child. Registration is required.

Upper Providence Township Community Egg Hunt

April 2, 2023, 11 am–1 pm
Black Rock Park, 1286 Black Rock Road, Phoenixville

The Upper Providence Twp. Parks and Recreation is hosting a free community egg hunt at Black Rock Park for children, ages 0–10. There will be two egg hunts at varying times for each age group. Children can also meet special guest, Peter Rabbit who will be part of the festivities. The egg hunts will take place in the field behind the new playground.

Berwyn UMC Easter Egg Hunt

April 8, 2023, 10 am
140 Waterloo Avenue, Berwyn

Berwyn UMC is celebrating Easter’s joy and hope with their annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 8th, at 10 am. Bring your bunnies, and their bags or baskets to join in a morning of fun and learning.

Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt

April 8, 2023, 11 am–1 pm
Schauffele Plaza, 35 Cricket Terrace, Ardmore

Join the Easter Bunny and the Ardmore Business Association for the annual egg hunt in Ardmore. Begin at Schauffele Plaza where you pick up your map, travel throughout Ardmore hunting for Easter Eggs, and collect candy on the way. Finish your hunt at Schauffele Plaza for prizes and treats. This is a free event!

Easter Egg Hunts at Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation

April 8, 2023, 11–4 pm
Ridley Creek State Park, 3900 North Sandy Flash Drive, Newtown Square

Celebrate the spring season with an Easter Egg hunt and spring activities at Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation. At 11 am and 1 pm, children ages 2–12 are invited to search the fields and collect eggs filled with surprises. Afterwards, visit the farm for activities and demonstrations, including a clay table and pottery demonstration by Bob Deane from The Potters Guild of Wallingford and shows from Levram the Great, the Colonial Conjurer! Meet the animals, enjoy music, colonial toys and games, egg dyeing, and more!
