This school has an extensive academic program. I am
Particularly impressed with their science program. It is important that our youth today has access to STEM! Westtown offers that.

I am a new parent at Westtown. My daughter joined as a 7th grader. She describes her time at Westtown as homely. As a parent of 3 kids, I have witnessed each kid attend different schools and it warms my heart to know she is at a school where she feels comfortable, where she is academically challenged, and where she is developing in many ways, not only academically. To give some examples, she joined soccer as her fall sport and she wanted to try being goalkeeper for the very first time. Her coach encouraged her and she loved it! As a parent, I saw this experience boost her confidence to try something new. She sang a duet with a short solo at the school winter concert, something that would have never happened at any of the other schools we have attended. My daughter is now exposed to meeting for worship, a new experience that initially felt different to her but now she sees it as a way to calm her thoughts. I’m excited to see my child grow and support her as she figures out her spikes and I am grateful to have Westtown by my side in this journey with my daughter. As a parent, I also feel welcomed and homely. For example, my husband, daughter, and I along with many other parents and teachers helped the school celebrate Diwali, a key tradition in the Indian culture. And, I am most thankful for the recent book club where we learned great parenting guidelines. I needed the refresher because every kid is different and this reminder has already made me a better parent which is resulting in a much happier kid in our house. Thank you Westtown for looking at the whole student and whole family and making our lives richer.

This is our first year at Westtown and I can’t say enough good things.
We have seen our daughter flourish.
From the Head of Lower School, the Teachers down to the staff the communication has been amazing!!
Even though it’s a large school, PreK-12, they do an excellent job of making it feel like a community and engaging parents on so many levels.
I couldn’t be happier with my daughters 5th grade year and we are looking forward to making the jump to Middle School in the Fall.

At a World Economic Forum, a leader talked about education and what we need to teach our kids. He pointed out that knowledge is important, but the soft skills such as values, believing, independent thinking, teamwork, and compassion are what will help our kids stay competitive. I am a current Westtown parent, and I have witnessed how these soft skills are embedded into the school’s curriculum in every division.
