Description
Founded in 1865, Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr (SHA) is an international, independent, all-girls, K-12, Catholic, school on the Main Line. SHA is a proud member of the international Network of Sacred Heart Schools and is accredited by the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools (PAIS).
Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr has educated girls by offering a blend of rigorous academics, comprehensive electives, performing arts and ten PIAA varsity sports. Students have the opportunity to engage in all facets of a vibrant education and are offered AP courses, integrated humanities, and STEM curricula, Diocesan Scholars program, leading-edge technology, leadership development, summer international travel, and meaningful community service. SHA is a member of a network of more than 140 Sacred Heart schools in the US and abroad. Students are encouraged to take risks, reach beyond their comfort level, and expect more from themselves as lifelong learners and responsive leaders.

We chose Sacred Heart over many other schools in the area primarily because of the all-female environment and small class size. We love that all of the teachers and students in the Lower School know each other and care about each other, almost as if it is a large family. Sacred Heart is able to do so much with the students on top of their core subjects – STEM, music, foreign language – and is instilling in our daughter a love of learning.
