Their philosophy to empower kids to be kind yet strong and powerful through ballet and dance as a work of art is extremely impressive! The owner Kelly Farrell is an amazing young woman. Every time I see her I feel calm and energized at the same time! Our daughter is hyper active and loves ballet and contemporary dance forms. She says it helps calm her nerves.

My daughter started dancing 6 years ago and Ballet 180 has ever since been an important part of our lives. The studio has grown immensely since then, not only in number of students, classes taught, staff and families, but also in the types and complexity of the dances offered. We love their student company which allows different age and level students to grow, share and dance together performing and choreographing different pieces while serving the community. We especially appreciate the fact that the teachers listen to their students ideas and try to make them happen.

My daughter has been with Ballet 180 since she was in Kindergarten and now she is in 7th grade. She has grown up with the backdrop of all that Ballet 180 stands for and offers. Ballet 180 has provided her a sense of internal community while giving back to the community at large. She has been taught grace, discipline, poise, technique and has celebrated friendship, fun and an increased level of self confidence through her many years of experience at the studio. The teachers and studio directors are all so talented and caring and offer so much to their dancers. I would recommend Ballet 180 to anyone entering the dance world, as well as long time dancers. The best dance studio in the area! They have the right mix of quality training while being kind and supportive to students. The new larger studio space is great and it is conveniently located. Class sizes are small so students get lots of attention.

Ballet 180 has been so welcoming to our family. This year, 3 of our kids (the youngest isn’t old enough, but if she was, we would send her to classes there as well) joined the Ballet 180 family after almost 2 years of being at home due to COVID. My daughter loves it there so much that she has cried multiple times when her teacher says class is over. My two boys are so excited to do dance and say their teachers are so patient with them. Every time I pick them up from class, they run out of the doors smiling and so happy. I wish we could actually watch their class to see their smiles, but the joy they all have at the end of their classes is enough to confirm that they are so happy about being part of the Ballet 180 family.

This is her happy place – a place where she can explore her passion for dance and performance in a supportive, self-esteem building environment where body positivity and service to community are celebrated alongside skilled dance instruction. Kelly Farrell’s ability to navigate the challenges of Covid has been nothing short of remarkable – from great communication, to a safe in person plan, to the ability to navigate shut downs at a moments notice.
