As the leaves begin to fall across the Main Line, families are gearing up for a season filled with frightfully good fun. Whether you’ve got little ones ready for their first trick or treat or you simply want to savor the season at a fall festival, the Main Line’s Halloween calendar promises memorable experiences for all. Spooky Season Events in Montgomery County

Get into the Halloween spirit with these spook-tacular events happening in Montco. From parades and homemade scarecrows to scavenger hunts and safe trick-or-treating, you’ll undoubtedly find lots of ways to have a ghoulishly good Halloween.

Boo at the Zoo

Elmwood Park Zoo, 1661 Harding Boulevard, Norristown
Weekends from October 4–October 26, 2025, from 10:30 am–3:30 pm

Kids and adults alike are encouraged to come dressed in their scariest or silliest best for Elmwood Park’s Boo at the Zoo. This seasonal celebration features trick or treat stations throughout the Zoo, a straw maze, live music and games. It is free to attend with paid Zoo admission. Additionally, the Zoo will also be hosting a special Trick-or-Treat Night on October 25 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm, offering even more spooky fun for families to enjoy!

Conshohocken Halloween Parade

Mary H. Wood Park, 130 E. 5th Ave., Conshohocken
October 18, 2025, from 4–6 pm

Calling all firemen, witches, dinosaurs, and princesses! Come join the festive, costumed fun at the Conshohocken Halloween Parade. The event kicks off at 4 pm at Mary H. Wood Park. Afterwards, stick around for snacks and prizes in the Park following the parade.

Edible Halloween Crafting

The Candy Lab, 22 E. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore
October 26, 2025, from 4–5 pm

Whether spooky or sweet, your kids’ creations will certainly be yummy at the Candy Lab’s Edible Halloween Crafting event in Ardmore. Participants will craft four seasonal treats in this one-hour session, all of which will be consumable. How frightfully delicious!

Halloween Drawing Workshop with Young Rembrandts

Upper Merion Community Center, 431 W. Valley Forge Rd., King of Prussia
October 24, 2025, from 6–7:30 pm

Do you have a child between ages 4 and 12 who would love to learn to draw a spooky Halloween scene? Then sign them up for Young Rembrandts Halloween Workshop in King of Prussia and leave the drawing instruction to the experts. Kids are welcome to attend in costume as there will be an opportunity for a quick trick or treat as well. This is a drop-off program.

Scarecrows Abound

The quaint shops and artisans of Skippack Village get into the spirit of the season by decorating and displaying unique scarecrows for the public to enjoy at Scarecrows Abound. Come wander amongst these hay masterpieces and scan the provided QR codes to vote for your favorites in multiple categories. A winner will be revealed at the Skippack Night Market on October 24th!

Have a spooky good time at Riverbend’s Shiverfest

Shiverfest, Riverbend Environmental Education Center’s action-packed fall festival, offers plenty of Halloween fun for Main Line families. Enjoy everything from insect shows, bubble parties, face painting, a petting zoo, tree climbing, inflatables, and arts and crafts, as well as a candy trail. Plan for a full afternoon of autumn adventure. And with free adult brews available, even the parents will have a spooky good time.

Trick-or-Treat Around the Town Center

King of Prussia Town Center, 155 Village Drive, King of Prussia
October 27, 2025, from 5–7 pm

Come have a fa-boo-lous time at the King of Prussia Town Center’s free, all ages, safe trick-or-treating experience. The Town Center’s restaurants and businesses will offer sweets to participating children, so don’t forget your costumes. Stick around for a live DJ, fun and games on the Lawn, and seasonal photo opps. Costumed pets are welcome too!

Witches of Narberth

Narberth Borough, Forrest and Haverford Avenues, Narberth
October 25, 2025, from 1–4 pm

Goblins big and small are invited to Downtown Narberth for a not-so-spooky Halloween scavenger hunt at Witches of Narberth. Kids will hunt for the many witches scattered around Downtown, collecting a treat from each when they find them, and then boogey back to the start for a Halloween prize. Costumes are encouraged, though optional, at this free Halloween event.

Happy Haunting Around Chester County this Halloween

Not to be out-spooked by Montco, Chester County also offers plenty of ways to get ghostly this Halloween. From hayrides and Halloween festivals, to spooky historical lantern tours, Chesco’s got something for everyone this season.

Haunted Events at Colonial Gardens

745 Schuylkill Road, Phoenixville
Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from October 3 through 26, 2025, from 7–9:30 pm

Those seeking a thrill around the Main Line this Halloween are sure to find all the frights at the Haunted Events at Phoenixville’s Colonial Gardens. With both a Haunted Hayride winding through eerie woods and a Haunted Hedge Maze providing scares at every turn, these frightful offerings are not recommended for children under 8. Colonial Gardens does provide a milder Children’s Night Hayride on select October evenings for children wanting a minimally spooky Halloween experience. Visit during the day for family-friendly offerings including a conrstalk maze, a daytime hayride, and a pumpkin patch.

Lantern Tours at Historic Sugartown

Historic Sugartown Carriage Museum, 237 Boot Road, Malvern
October 16, 2025, from 7–8:30 pm, October 17, 24 and 25, 2025, from 6–8 pm

For those Main Liners who like to celebrate their Halloween with a side of ghoulish history, the Lantern Tours at Historic Sugartown are sure to satisfy. Experienced guides will tour participants through this preserved historic village and regale them with gruesome tales of death and morbidity from Victorian America. These guided walks last approximately one hour and may cover uneven terrain. Pre-tour portraits will be taken and displayed in the Worrall Barn Ruin.

Monster Mash Halloween Celebration

Burke Park, 26 S. Warren Avenue, Malvern
October 25, 2025, from 3–6 pm

Come “do the Mash” in Malvern this October. The businesses along King Street will first welcome trick or treaters to visit in costume to collect a few sweets. Then the party moves to Burke Park for live music, food, games, spooky crafts, face painting, and a mini parade around the Park. It’s sure to be a bone-chilling good time!

The Great Halloween Festival

Upper Main Line YMCA, 1416 Berwyn-Paoli Road, Berwyn
October 18, 2025, from 5–8 pm

Each October, the Upper Main Line YMCA hosts the epically huge Great Halloween Festival. With everything from a haunted treat trail, Halloween activities and crafts, and a haunted house, as well as pedal carts, a bounce house, games, and food trucks, it’s a celebration the whole family will enjoy. Pre-registration is required and admission is $40/family.

Devilishly Good Halloween Celebrations in Delaware County

Delaware County certainly offers diverse assortment of Halloween festivities for families. Dig into a cemetery story time, a pumpkin carve with a long history in Chadds Ford, or swing by downtown Wayne for safe trick or treating.

Halloween Party and Open Play

Harmony Kids Playhouse, 7 W. Baltimore Ave., Media
October 31, 2025, from 9 am–4 pm

Dress the whole family in costume for the Halloween Party and Open Play event at Harmony Kids Playhouse. In addition to enjoying playtime in their creative play space, kids can participate in mini cake decorating and visit a Halloween-themed exploration tent all while jamming to spooky tunes. Pre-register on their website to reserve a time slot.

Halloween Storytime

Eastlawn Cemetery, Milmont Park, 7th and Girard Avenues, Swarthmore
October 25, 2025, from 10:30–11:30 am

Come, if you dare, to the Eastlawn Cemetery for an all-ages, outdoor Halloween Storytime with the Swarthmore Public Library. The Cemetery’s Director of Operations will be on-hand to join this unique event appropriate for all children. The Library will supply stories, snacks, and a craft.

The Great Pumpkin Carve

Chadds Ford Historical Society, 1736 Creek Road, Chadds Ford
October 16, 2025, from 2–9 pm, October 17, 2025, from 2–10 pm, October 18, 2025, from noon–10 pm

Witness an incredibly unique Halloween tradition started over 50 years ago by renowned local artist Andrew Wyeth and his son at the Great Pumpkin Carve. Over 70 native pumpkins from a Chadds Ford farm, ranging in size from 150 to 400 pounds, are carved by local artists and lit on Thursday night. These gourd masterpieces are then displayed for the next two days. Event attendees can enjoy a festive atmosphere with live music, a haunted trail, raffles, and food and drink for purchase while admiring the carvings.

Wayne Art Center Fall Family Fun Day and Workshop

Wayne Art Center, 413 Maplewood Ave., Wayne
October 26, 2025, from 11 am–1 pm

The Wayne Art Center hosts a free Fall Family Fun Day on October 26. Kids can color, make crafts, and enjoy a seasonal photo background, as well as collect candy. Costumes encouraged! For a $50 fee, children can also pre-register to craft six workshop projects. These include Forest Toad Stools, a magic shrink necklace, a macrame skeleton or pumpkin, an autumn leaf print, a splatter monster, and hedgehog cookies. These activities are geared towards children ages 4 and up and take around 20-25 minutes each to complete, though they are available throughout the event.

Wayne Trick or Treat

Downtown Wayne, North Wayne and Lancaster Avenues
October 25, 2025, from 1–3 pm

Enjoy an afternoon of safe Trick-or-Treating as Wayne’s local shops and restaurants open their doors to welcome children with Halloween treats and specials. The Wayne Art Center will also offer Halloween crafts, entertainment, and snacks at a tent on North Wayne Avenue. So don your spookiest or silliest costume and head to Downtown Wayne for an afternoon of fun.
