Celebrate traditional and contemporary Japan under the cherry blossoms in Fairmount Park. The Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual, two-day festival taking place at West Fairmount Park’s Horticulture Center that highlights the beauty of Japanese sakura — the flowering cherry trees that brighten Philly’s parks and streets. Featuring two performance stages with live performances including taiko, dozens of vendors, and activities ranging from origami to tea demonstrations to a Prettiest Pet in Pink contest, there’s something for the whole family. Bring family, friends, pets, and have a picnic while you enjoy a beautiful day of arts and culture beneath the blossoms! Admission is free. See website for Saturday and Sunday events.
The Horticulture Center is located near Belmont Avenue & Montgomery Drive. Parking is available for $10 per vehicle at the Mann Center grounds. Vehicles are not permitted to park at the Horticulture Center.
