Spring Sheep Shearing at Harriton House in Bryn Mawr

Join Harriton House at their farmyard for the seasonal shearing of Lena the sheep! Visitors can watch as the shearer gives Lena her spring haircut, providing a fascinating glimpse into traditional farm practices. After the shearing, everyone will have the opportunity to touch Lena’s freshly shorn fleece and learn about the process of transforming raw wool into yarn. The event features a spring craft that attendees can make and take home, plus a nature-themed scavenger hunt that’s fun for the whole family.
This family-friendly event will take place rain or shine! Parking and admission are free, but ice cream and special treats for the resident goats be available for purchase!
