On October 14, the “annular” solar eclipse should be starting around 12:05 pm in our area and weather permitting will be visible! Stop by the Belmont Hills Library for a fun craft and activity, and to get a free pair of solar eclipse glasses. Then head outside to check out the eclipse (which should be ending at approximately 2:37 pm).
Additionally, if you won’t be able to make the program, but would like a pair of solar eclipse glasses, just call the library at 610-664-8427 to be put on the list to receive a pair.
They’ll also be offering a program on Saturday April 6, 2024, in anticipation of the April 8 total solar eclipse, which will start in our area at 2:08 pm (no worries if you lose you eclipse glasses, as we’ll have plenty to hand out in April).
