Marple Newtown 4th of July Parade and Decorate your Place Contest
The Marple Newtown Independence Day Parade will step off at 10:00 am on Friday July 4th from St. Albans Circle and end at the Broomall Fire House. Come on out to celebrate with everyone and enjoy tons of floats, bands, marching groups, bikes and more! Online parade registration is open from June 3rd through June 27th. After the 27th, registration can be completed in person at the MN Recreation Office.
Marple Newtown residents can also enter the “Red, White, and YOU! Decorating Contest.” All residents, businesses, and organizations are invited to join this annual community decorating contest. Entries will be judged and winners chosen. A map of the entries will be published so that the wonderful, patriotic creativity can be enjoyed by all.
Categories include: Most Patriotic, Most Creative, Best Window Display, Most Spectacular, Party in the USA, American Spirit, Star-tastic, FLAG-nificent, Best Use of Red, White, and Blue, Most Fun, Best at Night, Best Balcony, Most Traditional, Best Under 18, Best Overall Residence, and Best Overall Business.
