Holiday Trains at Auburn Heights

All aboard for holiday cheer! Immerse yourself in the wonders of the holiday and see the beautiful Auburn Heights estate as you’ve never seen it before with this new event.

Celebrate the signs and sounds of holidays past with these event features:

• View operating model train layouts, including the museum’s 1930s Lionel Standard Gauge display, Nordel Model Railroad Club’s HO layout, an O-Gauge holiday display and more
• Take a ride aboard the Auburn Valley Railroad to enjoy holiday decorations around the majestic Victorian estate
• Capture family memories at a free photo op with Santa in an antique auto from the museum’s collection
• Festive fare including hot cocoa, local food truck as well as wine and beer from Dew Point Brewing
• Enjoy caroling by University of Delaware’s renowned “Vocal Point” a cappella group

General admission: $20 age 13 & up; $15 age 12 & under, infants free and members receive 20% discount.

Mansion tour add-on: Tour the first floor of the 1897 Marshall family home adorned for the holidays. Cost is $6 for age 13 & up; $3 for ages 12 and under.
