Budding Naturalists with Riverbend
Riverbend’s Budding Naturalists program invites children ages 2–5 and their caregivers to discover the joy of nature through hands-on, outdoor exploration every week this winter, with three flexible class options (Wednesdays at 10:30 AM, Thursdays at 2:00 PM, or Fridays at 9:15 AM starting January 7–9) that include storytime, nature crafts, wildlife tracking, animal encounters, preserve hikes, and special activities like making bird feeders, painting on snow, and ending with a cozy s’mores celebration. Led by educator Felicia Acconciamessa at Riverbend’s Farmhouse, this eight-week program ($160 per child, siblings under two free) offers a supportive, nature-filled setting where little explorers build curiosity and confidence while caregivers connect with one another—spots fill quickly, so families are encouraged to register early as enrollment is capped at 12 participants per session.
