Come learn about the amazing accomplishments of a local historical figure, Anna Morris Holstein, told in a dramatic, live performance by actor, Pat Jordan.
The accomplishments of Upper Merion’s Anna Morris Holstein are recognized and appreciated even today. Her life is commemorated with a blue roadside Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission marker installed at her home on Henderson Road in King of Prussia where she lived most of her life.
During the Civil War, the work by this woman of action was followed by a successful book about her years as a nurse and matron of Letterman Hospital in Gettysburg.
Later, her efforts to make Valley Forge a memorial park and to secure Washington’s Headquarters as a permanent part of American history led to its becoming our treasured Valley Forge National Park in 1976.
Come hear her story at Upper Merion Township’s Freedom Hall in this family-friendly event on March 2, 2024 at 2 pm. Event co-sponsored by Upper Merion Township Historical Commission. Light refreshment will be served outside Freedom Hall before and after the event!
