Variant 6, the acclaimed vocal chamber ensemble, invites music lovers to experience the extraordinary possibilities of the human voice at a free concert on March 16th from 2:00-4:00 pm. The event will feature six talented vocalists performing alongside six viols in a program that promises to be both virtuosic and accessible. A highlight of the evening will be the premiere of a new work by Philadelphia composer, Kile Smith, specially created for this unique instrumental combination. Drawing inspiration from John Milton’s poetry, the piece explores music’s profound ability to uplift the spirit.
The performance will take place at the Gratz College Bala Campus (formerly the Levering Mill Tribute House) located at 382 Bala Ave, Bala Cynwyd.
This special event is hosted by the Bala Cynwyd Library as part of their concert series.
