Washington Memorial Chapel Memorial Day Remembrance Service and BBQ Lunch

May 26 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join Washington Memorial Chapel this Memorial Day weekend for a Remembrance Service. This event will feature a solemn Choral Matins at 11:00 am, with a key note speech by Veteran Second Lieutenant U.S. Air Force Frank Spano. This will be followed by Father’s Tommy’s Revolutionary BBQ Lunch at noon in the Bishop White Courtyard. The Service culminates with the Chapel’s Yearly Memorial Day Carillon Concert at 2:00 pm, with patriotic selections and music by American composers played by Chapel Carillonneur Doug Gefvert.

The Choral Matins, which will be held inside the Chapel, will honor and pay respect to the brave men and women who valiantly lost their lives while serving in the U.S. military by weaving together prayers of healing and hope with the stirring music of the Chapel’s choir. This somber yet uplifting service offers a deeply moving experience for all who gather to reflect, mourn, and pay tribute to our nation’s fallen heroes.

The event is free and open to the public, however registration for the lunch is requested here and a $10 donation is suggested to support the event.
