Celebrate Pride Month with bestselling authors David Levithan and Gabriel Duckels!
On June 11, 2026, Children’s Book World in Haverford, PA will host a Pride Panel featuring the award-winning author David Levithan and University of Cambridge Ph.D. Gabriel Duckels. They will be joined by other notable LGBTQ+ authors: Katherine Locke, Mia Siegert, Vincent Tirado, and Alex Villasante.
Leviathan and Duckels’ new book, THE FIGHT OF OUR LIVES, presents a powerful cultural history of the AIDS epidemic written for teens and young adults. Threaded throughout are first-person interviews and narratives, as well as poems, essays, and other creative works.
Free Mom Hugs, a national nonprofit that supports the LGBTQ+ community, will also be present to share how they make a difference, and also to share hugs.
