Lower Merion Township Cardboard Boat Regatta
Ahoy! Craft your vessel and prepare to set sail at the 2025 Cardboard Boat Regatta. Some will sink and others will float, that’s the fun of a cardboard boat.
This event has a 3:00 pm check-in time with races to follow.
All boats must be built in advance of the event and The ENTIRE boat must be built with cardboard and duct tape (examples of materials are corrugated cardboard, carpet tubes, and cardboard blocks that can be found at recycling centers, appliance stores, department stores, discount clubs, and electronic stores). There will be 3 divisions, including one that’s just for younger kids in need of parental assistance, and there are plenty of accompanying rules and regulations. Awards will be given for race winners in each division, as well as a Spirit and Titanic Award (for the most spectacular sinking).
This is a rain or shine event! Pre-registration is required with a registration deadline of Wednesday, July 23!
