Join a morning of community and generosity at Glen Eagle Square’s Veterans Memorial for the Glen Eagle SquareFood Drive benefiting Philabundance. Your donation of non-perishable food items will help support local families facing food insecurity. The Virtual Food Drive will launch the same day, giving shoppers and the wider community an easy way to donate online through a dedicated landing page. Guests are invited to drop off food donations and enjoy complimentary coffee and breakfast bites provided by Spread Bagelry.
Most Needed Food Items (Philabundance prioritizes nutritious, shelf-stable foods. Please consider donating):
-Peanut butter and jelly
-Canned tuna or meat
-Canned fruits and vegetables
-Oatmeal or breakfast cereal
-Canned stew and soups
-Whole grain pasta
-Rice
-Cooking oil
-100% juice
-Boxed, non-refrigerated milk (shelf-stable)
Donation Guidelines:
-Items must be in boxes, cans, or plastic bottles
-No refrigeration required
-Recently purchased and in good condition
-Preferred items are low in sugar and sodium and free of high fructose corn syrup
-Please do not donate bread or baked goods due to short shelf life
